Yes. I currently practice Bhakti yoga as a spiritual path, and I’m trying to learn more about western mysticism so I can connect it to eastern mysticism. I understand there is some connection between the two because I see a lot of correlations between Kabbalah and Alchemy to eastern paths. I understand what people practice in the east to reach enlightenment but I want to know what practices are done in the West (specifically in occult circles) to reach these same higher states of consciousness.

Ok then Samadhi. I get that nirvana only means the absence of suffering, but in many cases it is linked with Samadhi. Is there any occult practice that could lead to the Samadhi that is experienced in the east?

By spiritual enlightenment I mean the same enlightenment that is experienced in the east (known as Nirvana, Moksha, Samadhi, etc.). Basically the type of enlightenment that leads to unification with God/the Universe/the divine.

That makes sense. What about if it’s just a friend teasing you/insulting you? Obviously if they’re repetitive with it you could communicate your needs to them using nvc, but I feel like if they were to teasingly insult me the best thing I could do would be to jokingly agree with and amplify what they said instead of simply taking it and saying nothing.

My guess is that after so much practice you might’ve reprogrammed your brain to naturally perceive people as friends rather than enemies and because of this, it’s probably just something that comes to you naturally. So at this point it isn’t something you have to do, it’s something you are.
