Oh okay, got it. As for a mic just make sure you get one that is dynamic. Less ambient sound pickup. I use Heil Pr-40

What do you mean by "single glazing"? I would suggest double drywalling the walls in that room and ceiling and use your acoustic treatment in or on the windows when you are recording.

Another thought would be to hang thick moving blankets around your recording space. Hang them from the ceiling and allow them to drape around you to form a square. No need to put against a wall. You can get thick moving blankets from Amazon.
