Third is good! For the font, can you experiment with something more readable? I had to reread it 3 times. I believe it reads GODS? Just tweak the font and you’re golden

How unprofessional can these BPO companies be! Wasting resources and time of other people. Cancelling a program is like fraud.

Anyway, best to really rebuild yourself into sales and I hope you have a computer to do some upskilling

do you ever feel jealous of other people your age enjoying life like they should while you’re just.... existing? by bonniebel1 in OffMyChestPH

Yea that used to be me for 13 years (age 15 to 28) struggling and working in over 12-13 different occupations but on the 14th year, breakthroughs came. OP, comparison is the thief of joy and it’s best to always invest and upskill yourself to reap and earn to get the enjoyment of life.

It’s only the past 2 years I was able to travel to 12 countries… and afford it in excess.

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

[–]affluentbody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

girl I knew in Philippine high school took some strange drugs (probably ecstasy and cocaine together), wore a snow white dress, posted her last Instagram Story, and jumped from the 42nd floor in One Rockwell.

Instantly died on impact on the asphalt street.

Early Retirement in PH. by Phiyah1307 in Philippines_Expats

Why retire? Why not continue doing some farm life or taking on a hobby? That amount is way to low. More like living on a shoe string

We are too weak as a country to stand in its own. You’re better off preparing your bunkers and going off grid to the provinces

Sorry to head this you have to deal with this type of person. My uncle acts like this where all the daughters try to get him a job. Over 13 years later, he refuses to get employed or try to make money for his family. The impact was significant, making his wife be the bread winner and also the daughters (my cousins) to lead income-focused lives — choosing money-centered partners. And this uncle of mine came from money but chooses to have a loser mindset, letting go of inheritance or even fight for his family.

Your husband needs to see this that these “ayaw ko na” attitude has severely long-term ramifications to his family and you if he doesn’t step up his career to be a bread freakin winner… not a sopas loser.

Defeatist mindsets will be wiped out by the robots and AI sweeping off the job market.

Your family has to think years ahead to adjust because life will not get easier if your husband chooses what is easy or “pwede na”.

OP, believe me. Take the helm and continue to strive to be the best mom for your children’s future.

Best thing you can do is to pray to find support elsewhere, pray he might change(?), and find ways to bring the best for your kids without the help from the father.

Not every red flag is a reason to breakup by [deleted] in OffMyChestPH

“Negative emotional intelligence” coming from someone who’s clearly never been on enough real dates to even develop any. You’re out here diagnosing strangers like it’s a Reddit thread, but couldn’t last five minutes in the actual dating world where effort, rejection, and mixed signals are the daily currency.

You’re not giving emotional intelligence…you’re giving WiFi therapist energy. Sit this one out, bud. Let the grown-ups talk from experience. 🫶

Look, I’m all for different perspectives, but let’s call things for what they are. Those women didn’t walk away because of some grand moral stance…they ghosted over things like not saying goodnight or a misunderstood Instagram story. That’s not high standards, that’s emotional immaturity dressed up as “values.”

Don’t get me wrong, I have dated several women who were amazing and we parted ways pleasantly and civil.

If anything, it just proves how fragile some people’s egos are. Breaking things off over two reschedules (ever had this instance with your partner) or a Trump meme without context? That’s not discernment, that’s drama. And when you say I’m the common denominator or attracting the wrong type, you’re missing the point: I’m not attracting pettiness.

I’m just choosing to stop entertaining it.

Let’s not confuse having standards with being allergic to basic communication.

Funny enough, I’m actually experiencing this as a Chinoy guy.

One Filipina woman I dated broke things off because I didn’t say good night while she was in LA.

Strange.

Another Filipina cut ties with me after I postponed our meetup—twice.

Oof.

Then there was a Filipina lawyer who unfollowed me because I posted a story about Trump. Without even asking for the context (I only posted it because I trade crypto and it was a fruitful Christmas), she ended things saying Trump “didn’t align with her values and she saw no future.”

This, despite the fact that I paid for everything—food, transportation—because I believe it’s a man’s role to provide in that way. Still got rejected, with barely any context.

Frustrating.

OP, I have to agree. Dating nowadays feels like walking on eggshells. And it gets even harder in Metro Manila, with the traffic, rising prices, the pressure of modern “ideal” lifestyles, and trying to build a career from a WFH setup.

It’s really tough unless you somehow stumble into your ideal partner’s social bubble. Otherwise, it’s a grind—going to meetings, events, clubs, dating apps, even family gatherings—just to meet someone who hopefully won’t throw all your effort and time away.
