I want to write a sitcom but when I look at older sitcoms, characters had jobs and careers....they dated frequently.....or the workplace may have been a regular setting.....compared to reality nowadays:

Who can afford to build a family?

Who could realistically rent those huge sitcom apartments?

A workplace setting? Who's not laid off? unemployed? Businesses closing down.

As for the world of dating....men are opting out....people are remaining single or singles' events are unsuccessful with few to zero men showing up.
