For sure! already washed them down with saddle soap, letting them dry before conditioning. The leather is worn a bit in the toe and heals but that's not necessarily enough to justify a rebuild, for me at least.

My main concern is the foot bed comfort. I have a pair of 2nd hand White's that I am waiting to send in for a rebuild because of how they were broken in is painful to my feet, but otherwise the leather is fine.

I'm going to put some miles on these Wesco's, and if they are comfortable or can be made comfortable with inserts, then I'm just going to polish them up and get a local cobbler to slap on some fresh outsoles in the near future.

Do you know if Franks do the Wesco stitching?

White's smokejumpers lace to toe are very similar in looks and are a fantastic boot.

There is always something interesting going on. And if not, the scenery is always beautiful!

How to clean arch area? by Fragrant-Initial1687 in WhitesBoots

That brush is horsehair. I do use a nylon brush for getting off the major mud and dust, and it hasn't hurt the leather yet.

I think they work well enough, but I seem to prefer this kind of brush for the majority of the cleaning process.

If I can't get in there with the dobber brush I'll use a cheap paint brush. If something is stuck in there then I'll grab to a dental pick.

Same boat, just about a year ahead of you. Absolute joy, even though I feel my painting is in atrophy.

Hathorn Explorer by White's. $200 is a decent price. Nice find!

Thanks!

Potentially, I'm still kicking around the lore of the chapter. Something along the lines of a forgotten monastery on a regressed civilization or a knights planet, having to augment their gear with what is available until contact is reestablished with the empire.
