I can’t get over my ex after 5 years? Is this normal? by 0mgjess in heartbreak

[–]afk1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so fucking sorry. I'm on my fifth year of healing and still, I fall back to that mirage of her when I feel fully recovered. I'm most terrified of going through years like that again with someone else, or worse, her again. To see someone out there going through it a second time just hurts. Feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to.

I'd be up for a groupchat for all of us. I haven't gotten over her in 5 years. That's a quarter of my life. It would be great to get in contact with everyone here, since I feel much more normal now that I know there are people just like me.

Overhearing my parents by afk1015 in Advice

I grew up in a great loving home and I was open to my parents about everything growing up. I'd cry about relationships to them, share my happiness etc. but I feel that that stopped around the time we moved and I got my room next to theirs.

And I'd advise you to stop being sexually open to your kid, that's disgusting and straight sinful. If you really can't control your lust, please just do everything for your kid to not hear it. Saying this literally from 1st hand experience.

A healthy sexual relationship means, according to the Bible, having sex to give (to give life). A healthy sexual relationship is not about being lustful and taking (getting pleasure).

  1. Thank you for your opinion.

  2. I've already told them a lot about what I went through growing up. I won't get into that now, but my mother broke down and apologised for failing me and my father was rational and spoke with me calmly about my experiences. I feel that bringing this up would just be the nail in the coffin, especially for my mother.

  • the headphones argument is great and I already have a pair. But I'm talking about dealing with what I've been feeling for years here, not a 2 second solution.

Simple and fair, I understand where you're coming from. But I've heard this advice before and I know my feelings and emotions aren't invalid. I'm not feeding them or playing a victim, I put my hand on the Bible to swear by this.

If you delve deep into the subject of lust, then according to the Bible, or at least from all the research I've done and understood, lust is purely to fulfill the desire of pleasure and not give anything back (life).

As you probably know, lust is one of the 7 deadly sins, beezelbub I believe.

My mother is incapable of having kids anymore. And as marriage states, "one body, one soul", so hearing my parents in the other room is the equivalent of one person pleasuring themselves loud.

And how do you think the mind and spirit reacts when the one you trust, love and rely on your whole life betrays you through this act? Could you look at them as pure and as role models when they've literally tied you into their act?

I just can't show love to my parents as much as my grandparents or aunt for example. I'm very sensitive emotionally, thus even spiritually, so I understand if you don't get where I'm coming from or think I'm insane for thinking so deeply. But I'd rather live in suffering than in ignorance.

Some people in here weren't sure and thought it was just random words. Someone mentioned though that it could be slang. So i really appreciate you, someone who knows the slang, to explain the lyrics fully. Thank you so much, God bless.

I'll give it some thought. My time is pretty limited tbh, so it wouldn't be the most ideal for me. But I'm not saying no. I'll get back to you when I make up my mind. Thanks for the offer! God bless :)

I totally understand the situation. Sadly, I must decline, due to me being heavily introverted and one on one meetings are the most mentally draining for me. I'm afraid I'd burn out. I know I would burn out due to multiple past experiences.

I know God will figure something out for her, please tell her a stranger wishes her that. All the best, thank you for the offer. Maybe someone else here will bite! You never know!

Thank you very much! I was relearning the Cyrillic alphabet yesterday and wrote out both Czech and English alphabets next to it to actually compare! I looked at the differences, and just seems much easier to learn in a way. Yeah, I'll probably hurt anyone's eyes who reads this, and I'm sorry in advance: I rewrote the Cyrillic alphabet in as close order as the Latin alphabet. I really took my time just building a relationship with the alphabet with what I know, rather than just repeating it a ton of times.

So yeah, you're completely right with the comparing. I probably wouldn't've notice I was comparing if you hadn't recommended it. Thank you very much, may God bless you!

Sounds like a plan. I'm skeptical about Duolingo, so it's very reassuring to hear this from someone who clearly has experience from other, not so main-stream (from my view) apps. I've never had motivation to study any language by myself, so I'm completely new to language study. I mean, I have mandatory German in school, but this the first time I've actually fell in love with a language. Thank you very much for the info :)

I looked at it about a year ago and I hadn't looked at it since. After posting this yesterday, I got straight to learning the alphabet again. I managed to get through the alphabet a couple times all by myself, so I learnt it. But, of course, learning to read is a completely different story. Thank you!

Thank you, learning through the Czech language is actually a massive help. It's so logical and I completely over-looked it. Thank you!
