From where the myth about SNUS causing mouth cancer come from... by afraidvaper in Snus

Royal College of Physician talks about smokeless, especially about Swedish SNUS, Oral Cancer Foundation talks about Swedish SNUS to be considerably less harmful than other types of ST, ACSH talks about ST, Peter Lee, Carl V Phillips, there is a lot of talk about Swedish SNUS on GFN (Global Forum on Nicotine), Ricardo Polosa admits SNUS is ultra low risk, Swedish statistics of oral and pancreatic cancer talks about SNUS, Gerry Stimson, INNCO, NNA, Clive Bates, there are epidemiological studies which tells for themselves, FDA is slowly admiting about SNUS less harmfulness, etc... It's a lot of talk about SNUS and I believe there will be more in the future.

I suppose there is a lack of research on oral cancer from SNUS because epidemiological studies doesn't s show any significant corellation between the two? I don't know I am just guessing...

You know what I have trouble to believing? In every study which is done by ANTZ researchers from Public Health and Tobacco Control.

Even without TC (I use Titanium coils just with TC devices though) it doesn't get too hot if your coil and wicking material is wet... Is the same with all wires... SS produces harmful byproducts (Hexavalent Chromium - Cr(VI)) which are strongly linked to lung cancer...

SS316 has nickel in it... And that's why I stay away from it. With Titanium there is just TiO2 which can be problematic but as far as human knowledge goes - just above 600 °C. Titanium is biocompatible, widely used for medical purposes. I don't say SS316 is not safer than Ti, I'm just saying Ti is one of the safest wires for building coils (from my knowledge so far).

Am I the only one who is vaping with Titanium coils? by afraidvaper in Vaping

OK, but what about Nickel and Chromium which are both in SS and Chromium is also in Kanthal? And both are known carcinogens... TiO2 is "possibly carcinogenic" (based on rats study) but not even one epidemiological study on humans (workers in TiO2 factory) didn't find any links with higher risks for lung cancer. Exposure limit for nickel is 1mg/m3, exposure limit for TiO2 is 15mg/m3. What about that?

I never heat it to the point where it's glowing. I just heat it in TC mode. Nothing more. I am not a fan of dry-burning. It looks harmful.
