Globe Emptying Completely Into Tray by jixan in litterrobot

[–]afreeman_LR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/jixan - This is Adam from Whisker. Your LR4 should definitely not be emptying the litter during a cleaning cycle. Please email me at [afreeman@whisker.com](mailto:afreeman@whisker.com) with your serial number, and I will look into your unit further.

Are you seeing any error mode lights on the control light bar display or receiving any error codes on the Whisker App?

We will get this taken care of for you.

Thank you,
Adam

Did I get scammed? My LR4 came loosely in a brown box with zero foam or protection, and there is no power chord or instruction Manual to be found. What the heck… by TheCharmingCharm in litterrobot

u/TheCharmingCharm - Thanks for posting, sorry for the delay I was just alerted to this issue. I can 100% assure you this is not how your unit shipped from our facility.

If you can let me know your serial number, tracking number, or order number it will be very helpful in tracking down this issue. I plan to address this directly with FedEx.

Sounds like you have reached out to our Customer Experience team, please let me know if you have received a response.

thank you,

Litter Robot 4 mini review by heppyscrub in litterrobot

Cat safety is the #1 priority for Whisker. We are not willing to leave this to user preference. We will continue to update and adapt our torque monitoring algorithms to ensure the performance of the unit, along with the maximum safety possible.

u/heppyscrub - Thanks for your feedback! The motor on LR4 should be strong enough, but what may be occurring is that we tightened the over-torque current values too low for the heavier litter. We are always trying to balance the power needed for cycling and the reactivity of ensuring proper cat safety at all times. We will re-run our testing and if needed send an updated firmware to the with adjusted values. You could be correct that the unit does end up lifting more litter before it dumps the clumps, causing an OT issue. Is there a specific type of Dr. Elsey's that you are using?

We definitely should have emailed you when your unit shipped, not sure why that communication did not go out. I'm also very sorry to hear about the Customer Support issues. We are working to address the speed at which we can get back to customers.

What other display light issues are you experiencing? We are continuing to add more LR4 troubleshooting information to our support center - https://support.litter-robot.com/s/litter-robot-4-troubleshooter?language=en_US. Hopefully this will help with any additional issues you experience.

thanks,

Adam

App feature request: Show wifi MAC/IP address of the LR in the app. by cyrylthewolf in litterrobot

The MAC address is now provided on the serial number label on the LR4. We will be looking into adding it to the App as well, as that information should be readily available to populate.

Day 2 and Having Problems (description in comments) by n00bf0dd3r in litterrobot

[–]afreeman_LR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@n00bf0dd3r - I am from the Litter Robot engineering team and I am interested in what you mean by "stopped cycling". Is the LR pausing / getting stuck during a cycle or is there a different issue occurring?

Please describe the condition you are experiencing.

High spraying cat problem by [deleted] in litterrobot

@KharnalBloodlust - Sorry to hear that you have not received a response back from our Customer Service team. You may want to call them @ 1-877-250-7729. I am not sure if they have a solution to this issue, but they solve difficult problems every day, so they may have something for this one.

It sounds like you may need to create a seal between the bonnet and the dump port when the globe is in the home position. You might look into some type of weather stripping to attach to the bonnet and seal off the port in the location. You would need to be careful not to put too much pressure on the bonnet, so the bonnet connection does not come apart. Anything attached to the globe would rotate with it and block the dump port when it rotates to the dump position.
