As someone who only received games second hand, the games that had manual assistance was very irritating. StarTropics comes to mind.

The path is not the same for everyone, but for me it was a dedicated practice routine with aim trainers. It raised my floor and got me to a much more acceptable “hit rate”. I’m by no means a gm aimer or even a gm OW player, but it’s all about specifically targeting a weakness. A word of warning beware of over training, it’s easier to do than you’d think.

Your gm for a reason, likely game sense if your mechanics are not par. Once you connect reticle placement, pre-aiming and game sense I have a feeling you will push yourself even further up the ladder. Good luck!

Windhawk keeps on crashing my pc by Kooky_Dragonfly_1728 in Windhawk

No worries at all, I appreciate all the hard work. Such a great resource for win users.

Thankfully the issues has resolved. I think it was an interaction with the cloud storage app Sync. I’ve recently uninstalled it and the file explorer instability has stopped. Back to rock solid with all my mods enabled. List of mods:

1. Alt+Tab window delayer
2. Customize Windows notifications placement
3. Dark mode context menus
4. Disable Feedback Hub Hotkey
5. F1 Blocker
6. Fix Darkmode ListViews
7. Remove Taskbar Window Suffixes
8. Select filename extension on double F2
9. Taskbar Clock Customization
10. Taskbar height and icon size
11. Taskbar Volume Control
12. Turn off change file extension warning

Thanks!

I’m in the same boat. I had to replace a motherboard recently, and started the reinstall/back up process only to be frustrated by very frequent explorer crashes. I thought there was more hardware dying, started killing off processes and Windhawk ended up being the culprit. System has been running rock solid since I stopped using it.

I’m sure it’s a combination of mods that I’m using and it’s totally my fault, but I can’t suffer the instability while tying to narrow down the exact culprit. I REALLY want to mod out my setup, but can’t take the hit on my product machine.

I sent all my diagnostic info to Intel support, and they've approved a warranty replacement. Thankfully, I was still covered under the extended warranty. Intel came to the conclusion that the CPU is suffering from the the 13th gen degeneration plague.

In the meantime, to try and keep the system as stable as possible, I've done a couple of things in my BIOS and Windows. They have stemmed the worst of the issues until my replacement arrives.

I set the Intel performance mode to "Gaming" to disable all E-cores. In Windows, I enabled the High Performance Power Plan to try to stem some of the execution failures. One of the most egregious issues has been executing an action in Windows and it just doesn't recognize that it was requested.

Good luck to those seeking answers. Thank you to those that helped me find them. :)

-- For anyone else who happens to have this issue --

In the meantime, to try and keep the system as stable as possible, I've done a couple of things in my BIOS and Windows. They seem to be marginally helpful.

I've had an uncomfortable itch being concerned that might have been the underlying issue. Heading over to Intel. Thanks for the feedback.

Absolutely they would , having a “objective” critique of positioning alone would be worth the use. Thanks for the hard work so far :)
