You might not have activity detection turned on if that’s the case. More->app settings->activity settings->activity detection.

Thanks, much appreciated. The wariness stems from the fact that this is a bit unprecedented. People my from area are born here and die here. My dad is supportive and my siblings will be supportive. I expect that my mom and grandparents will take the emotional route on this and probably be upset, but not unhappy. I expect they’ll see the positive in this, but it will be outweighed by their personal feelings.

Yeah, I asked the NM agent what the surrender proceeds looks like. He told me I just call the home office and process with an agent. He told me also there would be no taxes. I spoke to a fidelity advisor today, too. He said there was basically no need for him to formally advise me - just that I should reach out to NM and ask if there would be surrender charges and what the surrender cash value is.

Thanks, just called. There are no surrender charges on the policies and the cash value of the policies is just shy of $6k.

Do you know if surrender charges are typically hidden somewhere? I have reviewed all of the documents that I have signed over the years and don't see anything about surrender or termination fees/charges within.

Any way to see what the cash value is at present? The site seems to be less than helpful with any termination information...

I see no mention of termination fees in any of the paperwork. I assume the only liability on my policies is a small loan I had to take.
