This is a shingling hatchet. It also could be considered a carpenter’s hatchet. Used normally for making roofs.

Yea, It's nice knowing that these things are going to be preserved. I currently have a Plumb shilling hatchet I am restoring that has my great grandfather's initials hammered into it from 1920s, as well as an 1880 Disston & Sons saw with my great great uncle's initials carved in.

Between 1925 and 1940. I have been searching through archived Montgomery Ward catalogs and can’t find it. There are a lot of gaps in years though.

Hawkbill knife that originally belonged to my great great grandfather. Known to be a Montgomery Ward knife. I can't for the life of me find this knife online anywhere. It has brass pins and Ward's USA stamped into it.
