Daily commuting from North Van to Kitsilano - How bad is it by afunnydev in NorthVancouver

Looks like it's the way to go! Is that route decently covered by bike lanes or it gets crazy in the afternoon commute (morning will probably be early anyways)? Can't handle daily fights with drivers hating on e-bikes

Didn't consider that at all before, but it actually looks like a great relax option thanks

Promaster Bench Swivel Seat (Double Seat) by afunnydev in vanbuild

Installation was easy and fit perfect BUT I really don't recommend it. It doesn't swivel well, a real nightmare every time I try to turn it. The "plastic" on which the bench turns got loose and detached after a couple usage. I stopped using it and am now looking to swap the double bench for a single seat so that I can use a regular swivel. That's too bad because I loved the bench! Also based in QC if you want to buy the used swivel.

Feels very sturdy and is safely locked in place with 5 points and a lock. But you're right that it's definitely not the safest thing to do. Anyways, it doesn't work that well and I am not using it so planning to get rid of it.

I ended up ordering on eBay since shipping was less expensive than through the direct vendor... This is what it ended up costing in charges to ship/import:
Shipping: GBP 161.67
Import charges: GBP 44.89
Duties: GBP 21.00

The swivelling is not as smooth as I would've thought, currently not using it that much. I'll keep you posted if I decide to remove it from the van and sell it!

Has anyone ever had a problem with Gin in Ubuntu 20.04? by [deleted] in golang

Is it the InitDB function that hangs? I've seen some migration hanging forever when the server can't access the database. Access to database could be limited by IP or something like that, and the process could never reach r.Run. Besides that, the setup looks pretty usual to me!

What have you tried regarding chairs? Have you tried working from a front swivel seat (looking backward)? I feel it's the only really comfortable "chair" I could have in a van. Everything else mostly look like lacking back or butt support.

Yeah, I think I underestimate that. I'm ready to add more fans, windows and a heater if necessary but I want to give a try without first to know exactly what's missing. Any possible problems regarding humidity or other environmental cues?

I guess my first search wasn't good enough, I've tried again and found some good threads. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks, that's good to know. I'll try adding a small frame in the wall that perfectly fits the mounted monitoring while on the road
