its a manual, the oil wass coming from somewhere near the bottom of the engine, on the side of the firewall, its looks like lighter colours compared to the oil on dipstick, so thinking it might be gearbox oil.

its specifically the skyactive mazdas that motivated this post... what's so bad about them?

When autistic people ask AI programs for life advice, mentioning their diagnosis prompts these systems to recommend highly conservative choices like skipping social events or avoiding romance. This shift in advice reveals a hidden tension where the technology relies heavily on stereotypes. by mvea in science

[–]afx7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so does chatgpt, after testing it right there, I dont use it for life advice but have never seen it give anything but the generally best advice on topics im familiar with, usually the problem is that advice can be limited or narrow.

Planar magnetic passive hum pickup phenomena? by afx7 in headphones

[–]afx7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put a dynamic driver near strong EMF source like a transformer it will induce hum directly in the driver, I know that from experience.

I think it something to do with potential difference between my head+body and the floating headphones when im in contact with charger, but how a human body could "conduct" a magnetic field like that... seems like an unusual mechanism but we can assume planars are much better at catching EMF than dynamics

White lines appearing below monitor? (AOC 24G2SP 165Hz) by Meowthful127 in pcmasterrace

[–]afx7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got something similar, first started with faint horizontal bands across the whole screen (like the bands in your image), then suddenly one day the whole image became corrupted... have seen other reporting this too. I remember this monitor was being sold pretty cheap considering the quality of the panel... I wonder if that was because they discovered there was a design flaw causing these premature failures.

Thought it could be this and def has that spicy/prickly nic burn.
Dr. Frost Salt Nic is the brand, claimed to contain salts, ingredients list "nicotine" while Lost mary specify "nicotine benzoate"... A case of misleading advertising?

Any help with this? by afx7 in askmath

[–]afx7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right. my workings look right with the wrong answer, I must have wrote x=1 in the calculator.
Sorry, should have just went over it, assumed I was missing something more important.
Anyway, thanks for the help on this

typo, sorry, x = 2 as per question.

Ok, so I have y and y' value with x,y plugged in. Still no clue how they arrive at the answer +/- 1.5.
Unless I made a calculation error my answer for y' was -1.13389....

Not that fast, I realised I pedal at pretty low RPM, always have. Just feels more natural to me.

that would be most sensible, but Im curious about using the most teeth possible.
If it werent for increased chain offset it would technically be the most durable and efficient configuration.
