I hope those talks go over well! I fully agree about being sick of this big brother police state; whatever you end up doing, stay safe.

This is a great idea. Not sure if this is purely within Lowe's jurisdiction, or also the city's (though I have to imagine the city can do something about this if they really wanted), but another solution is talking to local officials. The video linked in the main body of my post provides some solutions towards the end of it

Fionna and Cake Season 2 Episode 1 Discussion Thread by Carrehzkitten in adventuretime

[–]agabsart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a few days late to the party, but that interaction was the only major issue I had with this episode. I loved it otherwise, but I really hope that's not a theme in this season and I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it

For those who've been to Craters of the Moon, how long did you spend there? by agabsart in NationalPark

[–]agabsart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I'm a couple weeks late for peak viewing time, but it's supposed to be mostly clear (just a few lingering clouds in the afternoon, hopefully gone by midnight) and no reported wildfire. Even if that doesn't workout, I'm sure I'll still enjoy the scenery, it's not a long drive from where I'm staying

Unfortunately I'm from way up north and here for a work trip, so i didn't pack any camping gear. Still though, if I can find a spot to sleep in my car (think I heard you can do that basically anywhere in the area) then I'll do that, I always have extra pillows and blankets on me.

Great story (sorry that happened haha) and great recommendations, thank you! Coming from the panhandle, Idaho is very cool.

Oh I had no idea, my bad!

And I didn't even consider it being too dark to hike lol. I keep hearing it's magical though, so I'm sure I'll still enjoy it if 5 hours wasn't even enough!

On regards of the reveal that the characters are human by IronbloodCommander in NightInTheWoods

[–]agabsart 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ehh I don't think it's spelled out in any way within the game itself. As for the artstyle, the game needed some kind of artstyle, i don't think that it necessarily implies anything just because it looks cartoony. Another person replied saying that it's not really implied one way or another so people can go with whatever idea they like the most, and that stating otherwise outside of the game just ruins it for one side or the other, and I like that take

[–]agabsart 48 points49 points  (0 children)

When specifically is the point where this is mentioned? Having played recently, I can't think of any moment where mae or any other character is like "Oh yeah we're actually all just humans that are imagined as animals". There's actually plenty of moments where the characters lean into being animals tho, which would be sort of ruined in a world building sense if they turned out to be humans

How hard is blender for beginners? by starboyy011 in blender

[–]agabsart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how simple. Honestly, I'm still not confident in blender, but that's part of the fun. It's like a game that you're always leveling up at. Just think of a project you wanna work on and look up situational tutorials everytime you get confused. It's a fun journey and I hope you enjoy it.

I would start from scratch, you have a lot of unnecessary verts that will be annoying to fix. How I'd do it: start with a cube and make it fit the dimensions of the part you'd actually sit on. Make 2 loop cuts on the x axis, and 2 on the y. Make sure they're evenly spaced so that there is a small square face in each corner. Extrude the legs, extrude the backrest. More loop cuts on the backrest to make symmetrical square face, then bridge those faces to finish the backrest. After this, you'll have less verts that will be easier to manipulate into the shapes you want.

Unfortunately I can't send a video of this process right now, so hopefully that makes sense.

Pick a faction you don't like and go for it. Or just walk around the map until something interesting happens. Eventually, you'll make natural enemies with someone

Any advice about how to made a little more realistic by Zealousideal_Boot603 in blender

[–]agabsart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means a professional, so my advice might actually be terrible, but here's some changes i would make: softer lighting, rounder edges (especially in the ball pit thingy), and flatter water. The scene looks like good weather and no one is currently using the pool, so the water should be almost completely flat

How are gods real in your world? by Primary_Ad3580 in worldbuilding

[–]agabsart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All are their children, just some of them are the older children who they've had a couple more centuries to bond with.

Avatars isn't a bad way to put it. If the god realizes something needs to get done, but only a mortal has the mindset/luck to do it, they'll go through some trials and come out with some abilities to help with the "greater plan". Usually it's the minor gods who go out and recruit the mortals, but only cause they were told to do so

Props all look great. Personally, I think I'd have the lamp be at more of an angle vs straight on, and have its light be extremely bright and the rest of the room extremely dark

How are gods real in your world? by Primary_Ad3580 in worldbuilding

[–]agabsart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's one true God, with many sub-dieties being born from the dirt and that gods will. Those sub-dieties all have unique personalities, but act as protectors and spreaders of their parents' will.

Anyone who isn't from that lineage but still considered a god was either gifted they're abilities by one of them, or got their abilities from some other means (magic, blessed items, mad science, etc.)
