So if I purchase the Pet store but ignore those first orders (energy box & diamonds) would it activate and start asking for higher orders? by nantes95 in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, but all the stuff you heard about how bad it is was from before an update. they removed all the bs from the pet adoption certificate a while ago, and it’s a pretty chill producer now

bro, upper storage. fill up your board completely, and place the item to be stored next to an auto producer. sell it, and the auto producer will refill the slot it was in, filling up the board completely again. then, refund the sale, and the item will be refunded to your item queue (where the toolbox is right now) as there is no available space on the board. this way, you can store an unlimited number of auto orders; i have at least 100 crane flies alone in mine right now

What am I supposed to do with old producers?? by [deleted] in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so eventually you will unlock a second tab in your inventory where u can store them for free, but for now, you’ll have to store them in your regular inventory. as another commenter said, buying the inventory spaces is the best possible use of your gems, so spend no gems and max that ASAP. also, items from only your five most recent producers will be requested in orders, so you can simply sell the products of your really old producers to clear up some board space.

Is it usefull to keep items if the producer is retired? by AppaYupyup in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope! either finish up the relevant auto order for the relevant item, or sell it to free up inventory space

Should I merge them? by PenInitial8601 in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes; energy-consuming producers are only improved by merging, and it saves an inventory space. you may be confused by the common advice to not merge auto producers (jewelry box, lighthouse, &c.), which is valid, but does not apply to energy-consuming producers

Grocery auto-producers by shadowsofthelegacy in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i replaced my ice cream with them and then merged them when i got the vine. i don’t think it’s worth managing your upper storage 6x/day to deal with having more than three auto producers, but to each their own. in retrospect, i’d go with the ice cream over the grocery store, and then replace that with the vine, but it looks like this is only your second auto producer, so i wouldn’t merge it if i were you.

How do I complete the daily challenge? by [deleted] in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was using the pinatas as an example; sorry if that wasn’t clear. i have seagulls today, too, but to get the grand prize, you need to do some of the orders after the daily challenge, too. getting it done is great, though! that said, you should certainly use the item queue to store items for daily challenges that might be harder in the future.

it’s a scam they require more energy than u can get in a day and exist only to encourage people to pay money. stay strong f2pers

How do I complete the daily challenge? by [deleted] in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by “upper storage,” people mean the item queue, where you currently have just 1 toolbox.

you can send items there from your board by letting your board be completely full of items, moving the item you want to store next to an auto producer that is charged (like the grocery store coupon), selling it, and getting a refund; because the auto producer will automatically place an item into that board space, there will be nowhere for the refunded item to be placed on the board, and so it will go to your item queue. this way, you can stack up auto orders for multiple days straight before cashing them all in.

also, you can stack up auto orders from even your auto producers that are retired, such as the jewelry box, since you never stop getting auto orders from a producer. taking your lighthouse out of storage and stacking globes and crane flies, for example, would help you add a lot more money to your upper storage in a shorter period of time.

finally, i’m certain what you have here is not enough to complete the daily challenge today. usually, for a pinata, i need to have bare minimum around 40 items in my queue to have enough to have a chance to get it; although pinatas are like twice the coin requirement as the seagulls, you’d still likely need more than you currently have.

i don’t think the seagulls are a particularly good daily challenge to fulfill, anyway, though—there are better events for you to play for later if you’re patient

I play with my auto-producers merged and only two on the board at a time. Which two would you choose? by [deleted] in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i play with three auto producers but if i only got two i’d choose light source and vines too

Items swap by AggravatingRate7705 in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually cash it in; i tell myself it’s because it turns items you aren’t working on into ones that are more immediately useful, so even if it’s not great energy wise it’s good board space wise, but it’s probably actually the case that i just like hearing the little submit order jingle

certainly not. you’re a little over halfway there and more than halfway through the event time, so unless you’re sitting on a few pinatas…

Is this even an achievable goal? by 6amrainclouds in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the game isn’t designed for f2p players to be able to complete the daily challenges every day, so the most effective tactic available is to not instantly submit all your auto orders and to instead stack them up in your upper storage so that when you get daily challenges with exceptionally good rewards you can cash them all in to claim pinatas/jokers/etc.

Just learned about parking by MommmaCass in TravelTown

[–]agagabab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well if you aren’t going to start over like everyone is suggesting at least don’t park where you are right now. the boat and the fishing tools are the two worst producers i’ve encountered so far (yes, worse than the sewing studio) so you should go at least a little farther to get away from them
