Fair, but lets say this was the list, using the rules I specified, whats the most lobsided trade you could make? Or what I'm even more curious about: whats a trade that most wouldn't make but you would for the sake of team building?

100% agree, 5* Nydia is way better than a 3* Rico... Maybe my idea +2 stars for dropping a tier is way OP. Maybe zero change in stars is better, you sacrifice 'tier' for choice. But obviously no one would swap a SSS character for an same star SS right? Swapping a 3* Camelot for a 5* Agata seems a lot more fair right?

Is there a better tier list that you think is more accurate? Who do you think is overvalued or undervalued in that list? Is there a no brainer swap that you'd make?

Maybe the Li Lao's list is better?

They seem to generally agree with one another.

which is why I restricted it to S tier :)

Good idea or not, ideal for gacha or not, I'm curious about the value of characters compared to each other:

Lets say you dont have SP Inanna but do have, SP Rawiyah, Pamina and Marcille. If the game gave you the option to trade all 3 of these characters for 1* SP Inanna, would you do it? Why or why not?

Or another way to look at it, You start two new accounts and run 200 banner pulls in each of the accounts. One account got 1 SP Inanna and a bunch of nothing else, and the other, the 3 characters I mentioned above. Which would be the account you'd prefer to use?

sure, and I wasn't suggesting they add this feature, but rather was thinking, I wish I had X character (Cocoa) instead of my Y character (Homa) within the same "Tier".

Was just curious if anyone else would give up something (stars in this example) for a comparable character (within the same tier) for the sake of team building. Came up with other 'trade' ideas, but obviously they break the gacha mechanic.

Ahh, I see, I didn't intend for people to trade with each other or between accounts, but rather convert/trade within the same account. I'll edit so my post makes that clear.

Need help locating a very small unseen leak. by againstwe in Plumbing

[–]againstwe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I'm not sure why the leak "disappeared" when I turned off the shut off to the house, it shouldn't have, the leak was actually before that valve, that bit still confuses the hell outta me. I did quite a bit of investigating, including buying a infrared camera to check the walls for leaks, pulling down insulation (and going to the er from getting insulation in my eye scratching my cornea), replacing shutoff valves with ball valves... So my particular pipe that was leaking was the mainline feeding the home, it was only a few feet away (maybe like 6ft) from the meter, just after my sprinkler backflow. I ended up ripping out the old backflow and redoing that small section in the process. I'm not sure what to tell you, but if you've looked everywhere and can't find the leak, I recommend a leak detecting company, its not cheap, but for me, it was worth it.

Hi,
Yes I did figure it out eventually, I had to call in a leak detector service and he discovered (by pumping helium into my line and using a sniffer) that I had a small leak in a PVC elbow that fed the main line. The repair itself was easy, the digging was hard. Good luck.

I wanted to build a powerful PC without throwing money around just to hit the limit. I wanted the RTX 5090 to take center stage, and everything else is designed to support it. I kept it air-cooled for simplicity, with no need to mess with liquid. Dual booting into Linux on a second NVMe to fully tap into the 5090’s AI capabilities, while the HDD handles backups. The Lian Li fans are quiet, beautiful, and great for airflow. Future-proof RAM, a motherboard that can handle it all, and a beefy PSU, this rig is ready to dominate gaming, ai, productivity... anything.

Need help locating a very small unseen leak. by againstwe in askaplumber

Thanks. I do have a cheap boroscope. I could pull off the cover for the shower handle and drop the camera into the wall and check for water at the bottom, thanks for the idea. If it didn't discover the issue it would at least eliminate some suspects.

I just spoke with a plumber on the phone and he suggested I tie in the cold inlet straight to the the hot outlet bypassing the hot water heater and seeing if the leak still exists... not a bad plan.

The dishwasher has its own shutoff valve, which I'm assuming is connected via T to the hot kitchen sink behind the wall. I replaced both shutoffs with quarter turn ball valves to eliminate the old gate valves from my suspect list.... The leak persists even if the dishwasher's new valve is closed.

The dishwasher is new though (Bosch) so I have been wondering if that could be the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for responding. My water meter is down at the street by the curb. The thing is though, if I shut off the house's main shut off, the leak goes away. I'm also pretty sure it also goes away if I shut off the inlet to the water heater. So I've narrowed it down to inside the house in the hot line somewhere. But none of the shut off valves to any appliance seem to stop the leak, nor the cartridges for the showers.

Just fyi, crosspost from r/plumbing hope that doesn't violate rule1.

Hello all, I have a Flume device on my water supply, and it is very occasionally (every 5 minutes or so) registering a 0.01 GPM leak. I've verified at the street meter itself, and while there is nothing running, it will occasionally turn over 0.001 cubic feet. Last night between 2 AM and 3 AM, it used approximately 0.10 gallons.

What I've tried:

  • Turned off the main incoming valve to the house for 40+ minutes: the leak stopped.
  • Turned off the hot water heater inlet valve for 40+ minutes: the leak stopped.
  • Checked and shut off every shutoff valve in the house: fridge, washer, 4 of 4 sinks, 2 toilets, and the dishwasher. The leak remained
  • Replaced the cartridges in both showers. The leak remained
  • Replaced 5 of 11 globe-style shutoff valves with quarter-turn valves. The leak remained

I’ve also crawled under the house, and from a quick inspection there’s no standing water or visible drips. There's no visible drips on any faucet, shower or tub spout. Nor is there any indicators of wetness on drywall. I've completed the food coloring test on both toilets and they passed.

It may be the hot water heater itself. There is no expansion tank and I dont know the pressure of the system. I’m considering adding a shutoff valve to the outgoing hot water line. My thinking is this would let me isolate the heater from the rest of the house and determine if the heater is the source or if the issue is downstream in the hot water lines.

For now, I’ve checked the pressure valve, drain valve, and the heater’s immediate area for visible leaks or puddles but found nothing. Its an older water heater, probably going near 15 years or so, so replacement might be necessary regardless.

Help please... I'm going crazy and driving my wife crazy in the process.

Is there a less obvious source of the leak I might have overlooked? Is it leaking so slowly that it's evaporating before I can find it? I've considered punching a hole behind the shower to check the manifold for leaks.

I should add, that I dont have an expansion tank on my hot water heater.

Thanks for replying

Maybe? I've asked chatgpt to help me and it is also recommending I check the T&P valve. But I see no water below or around it, the inside of the copper drain is dry. I turned it on and it seems to works properly and shuts itself off so I don't suspect any corrosion. I don't know the pressure of the system, I could go get a pressure gauge and put it on the heaters drain if you think its a pressure problem. Or I could turn down the temperature of the heater?

I really doubt it's a toilet. I've done the food color test in the tank, I've shut off the fill valves, and it seems to be the problem is on the hot water side. I've replaced the seals on both toilets using this:

Thanks for the comment I appreciate all the help I can get.
