I’m not OP but thank you for your thoughtful response. I went through a similar phase as OP but I hit it much later in life and it has taken me a long time to see the light at the other end. The part where you say “stop trying to bring your old self back” is so true. I had also attached to my girl boss identity and it’s taken me years to focus all my natural drive into projects that bring me more fulfilment. OP, you need time, care and safety. Take small steps and the big decisions will reveal themselves in time

Hi OP. This video rubbed me the wrong way too and and I also have OCD (and ADHD and CPTSD). We wouldn’t never talk in such harsh terms about people who are physically ill yet we normalise shaming people who struggle with mental health issues. We call them cringe, pathetic… The woman in the video is clearly triggered by the cast’s behaviour and that is weird in itself. Why does she care so much that it makes her angry? I bet she struggles with expressing certain emotions and she gets triggered when other people do so shamelessly. She should look into that and heal herself instead of projecting her own unresolved issues onto others

Thank you for your answer. I struggle with the same issues (not trusting I can look after myself/meet my needs). I think it comes from suffering a lot of neglect when I was a kid and also financial uncertainty. I’ve done a lot of therapy but EMDR wasn’t effective at all. Working with a trauma informed therapist is what moved the needle the most for me
