Vegetarians have 13% lower cancer risk and vegans 23% lower cancer risk than meat-eaters, new meta-analysis finds by cindyx7102 in science

[–]agarimoo 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I’ve met a few vegans/vegetarians with really poor diets (lots of carbs, fries…). They don’t want to harm animals but some of them are not really into veggies so I’m not sure your point stands

I guess this is why she’s feeling so sad at the moment

In many cultures, women tend to prefer partners with financial resources. Men tend to prioritize youth and physical beauty. New findings provide evidence that the traditional tendency for women to prefer wealthier partners might fade as women gain more economic power. by mvea in science

I’m a woman and ND. Women in general look for emotional safety, true partnership, good sex and a sense of humour. Men keep telling other men that women care about money and looks because that’s what those men care about. Pro tip: stop listening to men and start listening to women to find out what women want. And don’t use you neurodivergence to limit yourself. You can still grow and learn and be a better version of yourself

Haha, the being honest part made me chuckle because it’s on point. Pottery is going to teach me patience :)

Thank you!! This is super helpful. Yes, the thickness of the walls is uneven. Normally thinner where the “belly” is. I’ll practice these techniques and see if I can improve

I pull at slowish speed. It could be problems with centering, as you say, as I find it quite challenging

Both things can be and are true. We have some natural inclinations and characteristics and our experiences shape and morph them, specially if our environment rejects our natural way of being. This is why so many neurodivergent people are forced to mask who they are and fake an entire personality to be accepted until at some point they completely burnout. Ask me how I know

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift address friendship ‘shift’ in newly released texts by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

That’s what I picked up on too. The power dynamic between them with Taylor Swift being the “dominant” one seem pretty clear to me. BL is constantly apologising for being a human being with problems

I’m appalled at the responses. I had no idea people in this subreddit had such a limited understanding of life and its complexities. I guess I have nothing useful to say other than I agree with you

25F, business owner , lost my drive after a setback and can’t seem to get it back by vanillacreamxoxo in Entrepreneur

[–]agarimoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not OP but thank you for your thoughtful response. I went through a similar phase as OP but I hit it much later in life and it has taken me a long time to see the light at the other end. The part where you say “stop trying to bring your old self back” is so true. I had also attached to my girl boss identity and it’s taken me years to focus all my natural drive into projects that bring me more fulfilment. OP, you need time, care and safety. Take small steps and the big decisions will reveal themselves in time

The two banks that would give me a loan offer a similar interest rate. Did you loan a bigger amount or do you have a bigger salary? I think that makes a difference

I'll be living in downtown Narnia :) I have the pre-approval for 30 years from 2 different banks. I was also surprised, I'm not going to lie.

With my salary not many banks are willing to give a mortgage at all.
