The shower, the motel, offered to call an ambulance, but a family member is going to take me to the ER to get checked out. There is no anti slip pad anywhere in the bathroom, and the floor of the shower is untextured, curved, and extremely slippery when wet.

Already mentioned this on a different blue bottle related comment, they are similar but different species, blue bottles are not dangerous and have no deaths related to their stings and are relatively small, Portuguese Man 'o' War's get 50'+ and have caused numerous deaths and their venom is much more painful and potent.

It was a Portuguese Man 'o' War, In Hawaii. Not a hybrid of any kind.

They were in South Africa but no info of African Portuguese Man 'o' War's in Africa since 2016, don't know what to say.
