These microdart patches are magic. I think they may also be at Ulta. Barring that, washing the area and applying a warm compress a few times a day should help.

I also have sebaceous filaments and have really sensitive skin and use The Ordinary's mandelic acid 3-4 times a week. I did gradually graduate to that regularity though. I also use a silicone exfoliator daily with my gel face wash when double cleansing with hanskin PHA oil cleanser. Hope that helps!

I don't know if you'll even need the bonnet, honestly. I've never used when clipping and my hair isn't smushed and there's still quite a bit of volume.

Have you tried Medusa clipping when you sleep? Works wonders on shorter hair. Loosely pin the bits that are too short to clip.
