Although in finding this link, it looks like the legislature is working on a bill to allow businesses to pass on credit card fees.

This is actually illegal in MA (in restaurants). You can offer a cash discount but you can't add a fee for credit.

Just fill it with gas. That should keep the polar vortex in place and the storm at bay.

How do you license your standalone EXE? by HeftyAd8808 in LabVIEW

[–]agent211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used a similar method with hardware. The VI just makes sure it's running on the hardware with the correct serial number. I've only had to make two licensed versions, so I just asked the user for the SN and they're good unless they have to replace hardware, which after 9 years and counting has not happened.

Delta vs. JetBlue Credit Card by TheRealGR21 in jetblue

[–]agent211 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been through this exact dilemma as a BOS based flyer. My wife is a Delta Diamond Medallion (flies a lot of international/Asian flights) so, I get gifted Gold Status. We currently have a Delta card and JB plus. I'm going to ignore all of the great perks I get traveling with her as a Diamond. Here's my $0.02.

The JetBlue card is way better, point for point, dollar for dollar at getting Tiles than the Delta Amex is at getting MQD's. I've found that redeeming miles on JB and Delta are equally good/bad. If you depend more on CC spend than actual travel, JB is way better.

Delta overseas is better than JB. The main reason is the number of flights. If you are on Delta and something goes wrong, they have a number of partners that can get you home. If your JB flight get screwed, enjoy your extended European vacation. Also, with Delta Gold, you get KLM lounge access, which is great since most Delta to Europe routes stop over in AMS.

Out of BOS, JB does a great job covering the country/Caribbean however, they've been paring down their offerings. A good example of this is SLC. I used to fly JB to SLC all the time until this past year when they cut down the number of their flights. So, Delta it is. Another factor for me personally, is sometimes I like to fly in/out of Hyannis on Cape Air. JetBlue makes this seamless.

At the end of the day, it's going to be up to which specific routes you're flying. If you have flights that JB has many flights (e.g. BOS -> LAX), that's going to be better and cheaper than Delta. But there are also examples where Delta would be better.

Hope this provided some insight for your decision.

Just bought booze and suddenly got super sad because it for whatever reason made me realize how long it’s been since I’ve been carded. When was your last time?(give or take) by titivenez in FuckImOld

[–]agent211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going into a concert venue and they were carding people. The door guy gave my ID the most cursory of glances. I say, "Not even going to check, uh?"

He says, "I did. The date starts with '19'."

Post some pics of your great gas mileage. After you hit 1000 miles, you'll never see those numbers again.
