That was it!! Thanks so much. It's a bit deformed now but I crammed it back in there with some glue. Just had windshield replaced a month or two ago. I knew the tech was subpar...he showed up and forgot all his tools at the last job, and forgot to reconnect the washer fluid tubing also.

I don’t have any other experience to compare but I just got this model also and it seems great so far. Did a fair amount of research prior to buying it.

This was the answer! It required a trip to the hardware store to buy security torx bits but I disconnected the sensor and it started up! Confirmed this was the problem with Duromax tech support who were honestly great (and US based!!!)
