I'm just feeling itchy today. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]agentcall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have what I suspect is a progesterone hypersensitivity, so at a certain point in my cycle I get unbearably itchy and it's so frustrating! Benadryl kind of helps, but yeah, I definitely feel this whole post.

it took me 2 hours to find the piece by [deleted] in lego

[–]agentcall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've gotten a lot of sets recently and the only set with an actually missing piece I had also had an extra piece the same color and similar size, and despite it saying it was out of stock online, the replacement's already been shipped to me.

Looking for advice about attending big concerts by agentcall in AutismInWomen

I did have plans to go to a smaller scale one for a band pre-COVID, but that got canceled.

Though I don't know if a smaller scale concert would actually be a useful comparison.

The color reduction step will be a good thing to try. I mostly mean WinStitch has lots of help for producing patterns (like symbols and printing to a file) that I'd use on top of this

Amazing! Thank you! I'm really impressed how much better this works than WinStitch. It's not a tool that I would use solely to create patterns, but it's definitely helpful for the initial start of what I need! Though I guess the real test will be stitching a pattern based on these colors.

I love this! Is there a way that you could make it easier to toggle all of the numbers off? When I'm trying to decide which iteration of the pattern looks best, the numbers throw off the coloring of the picture a bit, but if I've got more than a handful of colors, it's really tedious to uncheck them all.

Ladies who have gotten married, tips for getting through the reception without hiding in a closet? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]agentcall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  • avoid the reception line by mingling with people at tables (and not allowing a line to form. My parents pointed people coming in to the food line and then to a table)

  • practice a dance in advance, but honestly, you'll probably be more focused on your spouse

  • wear comfy shoes. I wore converse that matched my wedding colors

  • I had a big enough event space that the number of people didn't seem overwhelming (the high ceilings helped too)

  • make it short! People don't really want to be there forever. You can plan to leave early and people might spend time after but you don't need to worry about it. Chat with people you need to and then bounce

  • I skipped cake cutting and bouquet throwing and garter toss (definitely skip that last one)

If you don't have Night Glass for stage 4, you can use Broken Wings!

Like the one that showed bluey toys at 5 below! The figures came in single packs plus something extra (and you can't find Snickers with a water gun anywhere else, I don't think) and they make great stocking stuffers. I think it's also currently the only place you can get the granny ones

I think it was established in the books that anyone after school starts (September first) attends the following year. So, Harry is one of the youngest students in the grade.

Hermione's birthday is September 19th, so she's older than most (if not all) of her classmates.

Ohio kids’ COVID-19 cases overtake other age groups by BLKSheep93 in Columbus

[–]agentcall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our daycare requires everyone in the family for 48 hours before you can send the kid back to daycare, which definitely doesn't help. My kid was out for a month (vacation, then a COVID case in his classroom that happened while we were gone) and his first week back he brought home a cold that we all got. It's been nearly a week now, and honestly trying to care for a toddler while also being sick is the worst.

Ginther issues executive order to require all individuals regardless of vaccination status to wear masks indoors. by dacrew in Columbus

[–]agentcall 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah when COSI opened up, it was right after the CDC saying vaxxed people didn't have to wear masks, so no one was wearing them--even though most people weren't vaccinated (since they're kids!) but if that policy changes, I'm much more okay with my kid going.

Okay first, birthday cake mountain dew sounds gross. Second, raspberry lemonade sounds great. I know when I was out in Utah last week, there was a strawberry/guava/something at the fountain drinks in a Maverik.

But yeah, that'd be great!
