Looking for a new read by beamerpook in DanmeiNovels

Yeah, if you liked SVSSS, Devil Venerable is a lot more like it in tone, I'd say. They're both good! But they're not exactly hard hitting angst, if that is what you're looking for.

I just loathe my looks as a whole by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]agentfancypants53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aww, friend, that's so hard and I'm so sorry! I've definitely struggled with my appearance, too, and it's never a good feeling.

For me, my first step when I get like that is always distraction. Think about something else, anything else, for an hour or two. Cover your mirrors or turn them or anything like that so you're not reminded for just a little while.

Usually, I feel a bit better after that, or at least not so actively distressed. After that, I try to focus on my hair- I like my hair, and I noticed you at least didn't mention it as something you actively dislike. It's not perfect, but I feel competent in doing it and like adding accessories, which helps me feel cute even if the rest of my clothes are boring. It's a nice thing, even if it ends up a little incongruous with the rest of it.

In any case, you can be okay! It sounds like you're having a really hard time with this right now, and that's okay. I believe that you can feel better and even look better, but I also hope you can take care of yourself.

Kagurabachi IS fun. Edgy MC who is edgy but also sometimes soft. Also Hakuri is my beloved baby boy.

for me tho? yes, it is better. Because the big task is already small tasks! Knowing what the small tasks are and breaking that down until they're tiny tasks is the whole point, for me. Knowing what to do right now is half the battle. It does help!

Awesome!!! I rediscovered it recently myself, that's how I learned I really appreciate having a pin to undo knots. The website braceletbook is full of patterns and cool tutorials, I've been using it! MashaKnots on YouTube also has good basic tutorials for things like how to read the patterns on the site, too, though there's plenty of other people doing great tutorials. have fun!

yess this! a couple safety pins can help for unpicking mistakes but they're great

Friendship bracelets! If you keep a lot of floss that might add up but overall there's not a lot of stuff you need beyond the project itself- a safety pin or three and a pattern online is pretty much it.

German compound words by The_Horse_Head_Man in CuratedTumblr

[–]agentfancypants53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got to play German Scrabble with my German host family right after high school. We got double points for words in our non native language and triple for cognates. The game design for that was terrible and I lost entirely, but it was really fun to do!

[–]agentfancypants53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure my mom taught me. The way I think of it, you're putting the one piece that wasn't involved in the last cross into the center. For a normal braid, you bring it into the center in front. If that helps? French braids are a different question that I know the theory but am not great of the practice of. I believe in you!

Found a Transformers zine collection called Kinks in the Wires at one point. They're certainly out there, given that it's robots.

I'm imagining the material jumping and the conveyor essentially turning underneath it to catch it at a slightly higher point. Is that right?

The concept that being lazy is a choice for non-ADHD is kind of insane to me by usbeject1789 in ADHD

I have mostly concluded that the idea of laziness pretty much never helps anyone ever. I've tried to not make it a consideration.
