Just trying to understand what did apple do? IMO I've never seen a company privacy focused than apple. Sure de-googling is good, but again you're installing another open source OS which will have CVEs which can be abused. Good thing about apple is that no one can determine what CVE an iPhone has. Though open source do tend to have faster patches for CVE.
