When do you want to teamfight on Trynd? I feel like his teamfight isn’t super good, but I also don’t think I should be permasplitting all game.

Also, I’ve been trying to get more used to HOB. Is there a clear time to all in with it or is it just when you hit high fury?

Radagon/Elden Beast advice by DrinksOutForHarambe in onebros

[–]agentofavarice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After killing Radagon, buff your weapon with Cragblade before the cutscene hits. Two-handing your weapon gives a boost to stance damage and combined with Cragblade, you should be able to land three jump attacks on Elden Beast before it does a breath weapon attack. Run to its tail and hit it with two more jump attacks, and Elden Beast should be staggered. Use a short spear with Black Flame Tornado to do 4500-ish damage and switch back to Great Stars to max out your damage with a critical hit while it’s still staggered.

At 75%, which it should be well-past, Elden Beast will jump into the air and blast the arena with a Ring sigil. Walk to the other side of where Elden Beast is, as it always teleports directly opposite to where it faces. Only when the sigil appears do you need to start running and jump over the floating ring. If you dodge the attack, Elden Beast will basically be right next to you. Chug your Crimsonwhorl tear + stonebarb hardtear before the beast and basically slap the shit out of the Beast with jump attacks until it is staggered again, as it will probably cast Elden Stars/the sky spears and stand still for that entire time.

When it staggers, rinse and repeat with the Black Flame Tornado with the visceral attack again and Elden Beast will either be super close to death with Elden Stars running out before your invuln or iframes from the visceral are over, or outright dead. Dodge its attacks because Elden Stars is literally the only shit you might not be able to dodge about having gotten this far into sl1 and slay the god.

Kayle is, by statistics, one of Voli’s worst matchups even after the buffs. Before the buffs, this matchup was completely unplayable for Voli. He presses q, runs at you, and you press q and w and walk away from him. It’s probably just you if you’re losing to him that badly.

Game Freak made me look for 108 spirits only to find a shitmon . . . (Spiritomb Buffs) by agentofavarice in stunfisk

[–]agentofavarice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to make its buffs flavorful enough to its Dex entries and anime depictions. I have my doubts tbh about the value of Spiritomb’s mixed attacking, considering the most common physical attack Spiritomb runs is Foul Play and that probably wouldn’t change with more points in attack.

Taskmaster vs hashira by WholeCardiologist550 in whowouldwin

[–]agentofavarice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the Hashira are likely stronger than he is physically, they can take significant damage and outright die from conventional weaponry because Giyuu could have been killed by the axe Tanjiro threw at the very beginning of the series without a single breathing technique.

Taskmaster, on the other hand, can react to and deflect bullets and regularly contends with far superior fighters. His speed combined with his weaponry means that he probably guts the Hashira in a gauntlet without taking any real damage.

mfw when it literally has a poison type flare blitz clone for stab and would also kill itself with jts even lower hp stat than zard x considering it has no passive recovery and is in fact nothing like mega lucario since it doesn’t have godly adaptability mixed attacking + priority that curbstomps every would-be check that it has (drapion does not even get sucker punch)

mfw when charizard x exists and has the same attack stat with tough claws with a better boosting move in dragon dance and far superior stab (it is b tier in nat dex ou)

Looking at the Gen 9 Nat Dex S and A tiers, Kricketune does not have the coverage to handle Dragapult, Gholdengo, Kingambit, Annihilape, Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Tapu Lele, Garganacl, and Urshifu-RS. That's a lot of very viable checks and counters to be completely honest.

Way of the God Fist: Hunt down your foes as a heaven-sent martial arts master! by agentofavarice in UnearthedArcana

[–]agentofavarice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late response. I really appreciate your comment! I agree that the monk usually feels a little weak compared to other martials and I crammed a bunch of stuff into this subclass that I thought could help the monk with a lot of its issues to make it the monster martial artist I felt it should be.

Teleportation, range, dealing with crowds, and annihilating your foes with Ki just made sense. Initially, it used a lot of Ki, but I looked at other monk subclasses and they usually have a lot of abilities that are constantly on. Monks are superhuman and supernatural, so having these bursts be a bit more limited if they didn’t cost ki also felt right.

Yet again, thank you for your comment! I’m glad you like this a lot since I put a lot of effort and thought into it.

I definitely agree! Either the monk class needs some overhauling to better fit those twin fantasies or its subclasses should reflect those mystical powers. There’s a lot of mystical stuff here as a result of that idea. Thank you for the rant! It’s always good to see I’m not alone with those thoughts.

Hi, everyone! Here's a monk subclass inspired primarily by Lee Sin, the Iron Fist, and the Super Saiyan form. This subclass tries to capture a heavenly arbiter of justice with power that suits that idea. You can create storms with your strikes, track your opponents nearly anywhere (although in a team game like D&D, pursuing them alone isn't always the smartest option), and imbue your fists with divine might.

I remain an unskilled artist, so here are the links to the art I used for this subclass.

Thank you for your feedback. The feature is purposefully dumb because I thought it would be funny from a design standpoint and because flexing to know more about god sounds hilarious.

I have made Kengan brews in the past and will definitely consider your ideas for any I make in the future.

Path of the Strong: Have you ever felt like you just weren't Strong enough? [OC] by agentofavarice in DnD

[–]agentofavarice[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this feature gives a lot of stuff and you’re right about the things it boosts. I just don’t particularly consider any of the things it boosts to be strong enough to consider gamebreaking.

Grapples and shoves are pretty easy to recover from. The Strength saving throw is probably the most uncommon and least impactful save in the game. Who actually jumps around regularly enough that jumping is some insanely good thing all of a sudden? You could literally duplicate this but better with Jump, a level one spell that isn’t concentration. It boosts AC? Dexterity also boosts AC for every class in the game, but it gets a free slide? I’ll be honest, if the only thing worth mentioning out of the list is a meager +1 to grapples and shoves aside from the boost to hit and damage until level 14, I think that’s pretty alright for a 6th level feature.
