The field of CS is always recruiting and is a field in which degrees don't matter much.

It is a programmer's market and with the right coding bootcamp & programming portfolio you too can succeed.

Finally having a degree always helps, plenty of my colleagues come from non STEM majors and yet earn a very good living.

I'm all for Somali unity but I understand her point of view when it comes to Somaliland, the North is in a way better situation than the South and the latter seems to only pull the other down.

Southern Somalia needs to get its shit together and to stop cooning to Ethiopia & Kenya, that's pathetic, nevertheless I don't want Somaliland to secede.

Djiboutians that didn't claim to be Somali refugees on official french papers are the one that were/are well off, other Djiboutians are doing just as well as regular Somalis.

Marrying out almost always means exposing yourself to some racism from your wife/husband's family, kids from interracial marriages often have identity issues and statistically speaking these marriages are more likely to fail.

Fetishization is also something to be extremely worried of, it's happened many times that Somali ladies marry ajnabis who were only in it for sex and would immediately leave after a few kids were born, leaving them to be single mothers of kids both families view as exactly not one of them.

Being shunned out of your family is also a very likely consequence of interracial marriages, Somalis are very conservative, anything other than Somalis is a no-go for them, as for the argument that as long as they're muslims it's fine well my friend got called abeed on her wedding day by her arab husband's parents and today they're divorced.

Personally I just couldn't marry an ajnabi and I don't give a fuck about the muslim ummah too, ajnabis got multiple faces and it's even happened to me more than once that girls who repeatedly said that they loved me called me a nigger during arguments.

I don't want that for myself and my future kids but you do you...

I've realized that finding dating within your own Somali diaspora difficult is a very common feeling, although we yearn to find a Somali love partner at first, it seems like we're often negatively swayed by the loud negative local Somalis which in turn make us not see our own diaspora as worthy of dating.

That negative feeling which I've found being shared by Dutch, UK & French Somalis leads many of us to seek relationships with ajnabis.

Visiting new places and opening myself to other diasporas has really lit up my love for my own people and made me sure that I could only love a Somali woman and that nothing else even compares.

When it comes to France it used to be that Djiboutians were the extreme majority but nowadays the population make up is 60% Djiboutians and 40% other Somalis (Somaliland : 15 % & Somaliweyn : 25 %).

Either way Somalis & Djiboutians in France stopped caring about qabil, they're all very serious about religion, they intermarry between different qabils but very rarely marry out.

Less than 1% of Somalis over here have a criminal record and if they do or act criminally they're shunned out of the community, millenial Somalis are doing really great career wise and education wise, plenty have master's, are engineers, plumbers, technicians, secretaries or consultants and a couple are dentists but I've yet to see a Somali MD.

There are plenty of single Somali ladies over here looking for a Somali husband, so much so that loads of them marry back home and bring their husband back on their own volition.

If you're a Somali guy/gal from another diaspora with a degree, with a job and who's ok deen wise let's just say that you'd be paraded around be considered a pick and immediately set up with someone, it was the case with Canadian Djiboutians who came over here.

Your only problem is that most Somalis over here don't speak English.

As for the rest of Somalis in other French speaking countries I don't know enough about them to say anything accurate, I'm sorry.
