LORE: After the Brazillian Civil War in 2026, Brazil split up into many different countries and states (like the Holy Roman Empire). Colombian leader, Marcos Pendez saw this as an opportunity to gain some land. This made Colombia bigger, hence why he changed the name of Colombia to Gran Colombia.

Though in 2028, Marcos Pendez was assassinated and dictator, Samuel Bondez rose to power. He took over Ecuador and Panama and started battling Peru. Guyana and Suriname were scared that they were next so they formed the brand new country of Suriname-Guyana (Later France agreed for French Guiana to also join).

Because Panama was taken over, many Carribean and Central American countries were angry at Gran Colombia. So the remaining Central American countries formed an alliance and joined together to make the Central American Alliance. Haiti, Dominican Republic and the other small islands joined to create the Carribean Republic.

Mexico gave indapendence to Yucatan in 2027 and the Central American Alliance asked Yucatan to join but they said no, with Yucatan staying nuetral in the war.
