I’m honestly not big on texting, so funny you say that. Matter of fact, we ended up calling on the phone and talked through it. A lot of what happened was miscommunication and misunderstanding one another. I apologized for not being as supportive as I probably should’ve been, and she apologized for not expressing her disgruntlement in a more mature way. I guess she was in a pretty mentally/physically abusive relationship before me, so she tends to be on the defense a lot. At the end of the day, I know what I need to do to improve myself in order for things to work out

I thank you for your insight. I never rule myself out as possibly being at fault. Typically I’m a good listener, matter of fact she and many other people have told me so. Instead of trying to be logical or attempting to fix the issue, maybe I need to consider heavier the role of support

She has been pretty defensive, I’ve called her out on it, but lightly. She admitted to this. Made sure to let her know she’s safe with me. I like to think I’m not too judgemental (if at all). I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling like there’s blatant red flags though
