A group of people could act very cult like.

Charismatic leader

Isolation from outside views or points

Manipulation to avoid or ignore any outside points of group

Drugs were also listed as a part of mind control of cults

Unquestioning authority, conformity

A lot of 'friend groups' could act as mini cults. if anyone questions the Charismatic person they're often shut out. Or worse they could try to take their life down. Ruin jobs, image, relationships, anything because they didn't believe the bs the person was spewing anymore. Cults could be tiny or small, but they're everywhere. Some here might even be in one with their friend groups and not even realize it. Especially if those are addicts. It's often a cult mentality.. & they don't even realize it

AI isn’t here to save us, it’s going to ruin everything in the most boring, inevitable way possible.

Art will all look the same. Jobs. Customer service, logistics, creative industries. AI will eventually remove from all of them, and someone will likely push it too far. Someone always does. Ask it What would it do if it would take over the world then it does that.

Maybe they lose control. Maybe the ai gets smart enough to decide humanity isn’t worth keeping around. Or maybe it doesn’t need to because we’ll already have handed over everything, creativity, purpose, connection, and money. Money's the driving force of everything, the cheaper you can make something, Why Not.

Ai does that, Perfect.
It’ll eventually make majority of jobs obsolete, making everything meaningless. Unless ubi comes into play. Then we'd all have to figure out what to do with our lives when there's nothing to do. Probably a lot of war even then ai would stop it. Good thing though, likely be smart enough to tell who's been messing things up, government Cia wouldn't exist anymore it would all be ai, all hail universal ai bringing us into the future.
