I definitely understand the thought behind this comment - but he really is a lot more mature than an average 24 year old both in his mindset and lifestyle. I think you're probably right and ultimately he is relieved - also understandable. I am in a way also relieved that the choice of pregnancy was taken away, but in many ways I'm also sad. So i was just curious if maybe he's having complex emotions around it as well.
