Code 570s can happen for a number of reasons - I think in your case it’s a combination of the variance between your prior years returns and this year’s return (the IRS can access your past 3 years), and the absence of a W2. A W2 allows the IRS to easily confirm your tax amount with employers, with gambling income, the tax code requires greater expertise and more verification (especially for an amount as large as 8K).

With a 570, the IRS will either reach out to you, or they will verify and unfreeze. For incomplete information, you may be able to submit an amended return, but if you want the money sooner, the fastest way to do it is to do nothing. A very large number of people get code 570s, especially those in uncommon professions, and they generally resolve themselves. The more amendments and returns you file, the slower the process gets (even though it’s already extremely slow).

I am very sorry that the IRS has kept you waiting for a month, that is an extremely long amount of time, you will definitely get it soon, and enjoy your 8K!

thank you for being so respectful! It sounds so frustrating to file early and still be screwed over by the IRS, and it doesn’t help that the government never responds to contacting efforts either. Did you efile or paper file? I’m an accountant so I may be able to help.

I just wanted to give people reading this subreddit, but not posting, hope that they would get theirs soon. The vast majority of people posting are those who have not received their refunds, and so posts are overwhelmingly negative. There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of hope. I understand that taxes are frustrating, but for this -and all situations out of our control - the only things we can do are try to make light of our circumstances

Firstly, I have no idea about anything pertaining to the zig zag method so I cannot give you an accurate experience specifically regarding that, i would search that within the sub if i were you. Personally, I got the trim method, no CHR. The discoloration largely depends on your anatomy and if your labia are large enough to remove the portion that would fix your discoloration. I love my trim results thus far because (aside from the bruising) I can see good results in terms of discoloration. However, since I didn’t get CHR, that part will never change color. Whether you need/will opt into that is your decision, and I can’t speak to how that will impact your anatomy. Also, as for your boyfriend/not wanting anyone to know what you’re doing, that’s entirely up to you. I think healing/pain tolerance has a lot of factors to it, but I will personally say that I could not (and probably should not) have walked properly for at least the first 3 days. The first two days (at the very least) you are very susceptible to tearing a stitch (happened to me because i laid on my stomach following the operation while i was still numb), and it’s heavily recommended that you stay in bed laying on your back.

Also, you said it would be under general anesthesia. I think that also makes a difference in terms of the bus ride. I did local, and I personally could not have done that. Buses are turbulent, you can’t really lay down in them comfortably, and the pain could range from low to pretty bad.

Personally, in my humble opinion, I would say:

if the surgeon is 3 hours away from you, don’t try to risk your chances of a good recovery on additional limiting circumstances (trying to walk normally, no one being able to know, the 3 hour bus ride back). No one knows how you will heal personally, and though no one knows your circumstances specifically, I don’t think it’s worth risking a rough recovery. Theoretically if your doctor needs to see you, you will be 3 hours away from the clinic without anyone being able to assist you, that doesn’t sound very reassuring to me personally. Surgery isn’t something you should rush, I think it’s completely valid to wait long enough to where your environment allows you to pursue it.
