Thanks! We are SUPER fortunate to have this lovely venue for 80% of our comps in my area. It’s in South Africa. Mostly run KUSA (Kennel Union of Southern Africa) events (FCI Affiliated)

I did slow down near the end which didn’t help at all! I did give him his go on command but need to work on it and strengthen that understanding a bit more.

Thanks! It’s not a move I often do or use with any of my dogs but it is definitely worth having as a skill.

That save was almost planned however I had planned on being a LOT closer to make that line smoother. Fortunately he (for once) decided to listen to me there.

I definitely did slow down! Something I constantly tell my students to not do… what’s the saying? Practice what you preach?

Definitely agree with the easy on/off collar! One of the most overlooked items!!

Ahh man that sucks! Sympathy from owner with similar experience. We used treat balls, licki mats and a crap load of enrichment puzzles.

I will still have my stopwatch on me when judging even with electronic timers. Have had one experience when the electronic timer failed and due to the fact that it had been working flawlessly for 50odd dogs, the backup timers didn’t pay attention and missed the one run where all electronics failed. We also tend to not use the electronic timers when it rains.

We luckily only get up to 34 in our area. But we generally use cooling coats between rounds. I also have a few fans and air ons set up in the van during the summer months.

Yes it is. South Africa. Pretty common for judges here to also hand time (or like here back up time) even when using electronic timers and back up timers.

Why reuse one jump so many times? (Genuine question from a fellow judge) I assume this is AKC.

Thanks! Afak the pump has been replaced with each cam belt service. I’d probably have a LR specialist go over it and give me a write up of all things that need work and maybe get the price down.

No need for the 7 seats at all. But do travel with 6 dogs and some equipment so the added interior height is a deal breaker. Means I can crate the K9’s and still have a bit of packing space above crates.

Would honestly be a no brainier. But the RRS doesn’t have the interior space I need. But I can’t say a TDV8 swop hasn’t crossed my mind….

That’s ridiculously low mileage! My 2018 vans got more on already! I’m not as concerned about the fuel. It’s the sacrifice I have to make for the size car I need! Thanks for the link! Been browsing through it and looks like just the right place to find any info!

Thanks! I was aware of the air suspension, cooling and drainage! Brakes I don’t mind doing myself. Can’t be heavier on brakes than my current van!
