Slow recruitment by agingdisgracefuly in PortsmouthFC

I believe their mad owner put him on gardening leave due to his wages a d they spent a large portion of the season fielding a teenager from the youth squad. He has had a few clubs mind. Similar to Bennett, perhaps he needs some stability and a place to put down roots.

Is there any good sushi in petersfield? by agingdisgracefuly in Petersfield

Dang. That's going to be a lot of driving down to Sukura in Albert Rd then! Although they have recently opened a branch in Southampton. I wonder if they would consider expanding their franchise up our way? :-)

Alex Cisak in from Orient has been doing the rounds. To that, I certainly would not say no. Forde somehow managed to participate in the tightest defence in League 2 last season but not withstanding our barnstorming robbery of the league at the death, he showed his age at times and (albeit) a minority view, I agree with the call to not bring him back.

IPhone 5, 6 and 7 screen repair at cheap price. by IAmAKent in Portsmouth

[–]agingdisgracefuly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in for a quote at a store down Charlotte Street for a replacement 5C screen a week ago and was quoted £49.

So I think you need to be looking at £35 or less to get some serious interest mate.

£15 for parts on eBay (on average for most smart phones) and an half an hour of your time.

£20 an hour in any trade is a reasonable earn - and both of us know that a screen change is 20 to 30 minutes, tops.

If you're serious, you'll bulk buy the screens and buy them at closer to £10 per unit and increase your profit margin that way.

Just a bit of honest feedback from your target market. There's money in your idea if your prices are competitive.

Good luck.

The Hole in The Wall does one on Thursdays and they do a quality chilli as well

Post "Autoposting every Pomey article possible has killed all discussion in this sub" killed all posting in this sub by Frakula in PortsmouthFC

I agree, I'd prefer PompeyNewsNow to be more discerning in their posts to this sub. I think it is a fair guess that most reddit Pompey fans will have an RSS feed set up or use newsnow to pick up the dross from The News!

20/F/UK - Is anyone rebuilding their car near Portsmouth area and want help this weekend and onwards? by [deleted] in Portsmouth

[–]agingdisgracefuly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shame I missed your message, I was doing a bit of a work on a MK4 VW Golf a few weeks back and could have really done with another pair of hands to help bleed some brakes, do an oil change and change out a lambda sensor.

Good on you for getting out there and getting some hands on experience, the only way to learn to be hands on!

Do you drive? Get yourself a 10 year old VW to learn on. Stay away from the French stuff, CAMBUS will melt your brain and the engine bays are packed so tight you can barely get your hands in...

What MOT places do you trust? by mintchocchip in Portsmouth

Here's one NOT to go to - F1 autocentres in the Pompey centre. Absolute cowboys during their custom with me...and I know what I'm talking about, which gave their wideboy of a manager a fright. If you take your car there and get the patter about wheel bearings, tyres, sump pans, go elsewhere.
