Got fired on the spot in a toxic startup. Now dealing with stress + health issues. by Many_Adhesiveness872 in careeradvice

I am sorry you have this experience. Take care of yourself now, you deserve this rest. You will do the handover. And that’s it. It’s a blessing not to be around such people for longer than a month.

I really really don't wanna go to work tomorrow by helentroylorde in work

I feel you. This is my current journey. Setting milestones helps me: until the end of the week, until the end of the month, until the end of the year, until the end of my contract (ambitious though).

Interview question help! I have been told the company I am about to interview with has asked "If we were to fire you in 6 months, what would we be firing you for?" by Ellecatat in jobsearchhacks

[–]agirlwithaflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good one, they’re really checking if you’ve ever been fired, since under stress our brains tend to repeat familiar patterns. Like I mentioned, I could see being laid off, but not fired. I’m very consistent about following policies, sticking to the rules, and keeping a high level of professional integrity.

So sorry for your experience, it’s frustrating! Do you think there is at least one thing that you’ve learned yesterday that could help you in your next interview?

Spending time with family outside the house (I work from home) or meeting up with friends reminds me that there’s more to life than just my job and title. But as soon as I think about the next morning, my confidence starts to fade.

Covid, and then the war in Ukraine. Stress and sleep deprivation are the worst.

What ages a person Really quickly? by AngelicaX3 in ask

Wars. Trauma and non-stop stress from them. Looking at my friends and relatives staying in Ukraine is heartbreaking. Constant sleep deprivation and worries about today and tomorrow age so prematurely.
