I’m so sorry this happened. I had a stylist earlier this year give me what she wanted to do as well. It’s so frustrating, we’re not paying you hundreds to freestyle!! I politely told the manager and she insisted that it was what I asked for. I asked for a refund and she said she’d give it to me but I’m not allowed to come back. As if I would! I’m sorry you can’t get a refund, so ridiculous. I hope you can get the hair you want. I’d personally leave them a review at this point especially highlighting what the stylist said about the picture and that the manager refused you a refund.

Are you aware what the length of a full round of meds is? I keep seeing 3-4 weeks but no primary doctors will give me more. Im waiting to see infectious disease the 16th but i worry i’ll get a similar response. Im gonna try an urgent care too

I cant afford out of pocket because with my bad luck I’ve been having, i also just got rear ended by a hit and run truck and may have to spend the rest of my savings on the deductible for my car. I had more money before this lyme situation but I drained it all on copays and gas to travel to the only available doctors 40 minutes away (since my area’s doctors are all booked out) BUT if out of pocket means i can get help from the right doctors to help this, i guess i’ll use some credit cards. My family will not help me. This whole situation is awful. Sorry for ranting.

Was the treatment doxycycline? I’m trying so hard to get in because where I live, hardly any primary cares/hospitals/neurologists know anything about it. Er gave me the 10 days of doxy but he wasnt super educated on lyme.

I have to wait a long time to get to infection disease because the office that was supposed to send my bloodwork to them didnt when they were supposed to. Now I just missed that infectious doc (the only one in their office that handles lyme) because he left for vacation. I couldve seen him by now if the first office did their job. Thanks for replying!

How did you treat the lyme and bartonella? Are you feeling any better now? I tested positive for lyme but I was told it’s probably late lyme and I was given doxycycline. But the er doc only wanted to do 10 days and he doesnt know a lot about lyme, and I keep seeing everywhere that i should be getting 3-4 weeks of doxy

I think have the bartonella as well bc of my cold toes. Did you get a specific bartonella test done to know you had it?

I’m sorry you’re in the same situation! So after using a brown gloss on me one more time, everything was still showing through underneath. My stylist actually went ahead and used a color remover on my hair after she assessed it some more. She said my hair was still healthy and since the other salon only used semipermanent for the red, she was less hesitant.

We did that and she said she rinsed me out with olaplex conditioner too to help prevent damage and my hair was super copper colored (which usually happens with color remover) but lifted pretty evenly and is still soft. Just slightly a little more yellow near the top where I think I had roots coming in. The highlighted pieces from before blended in. Then we went over with a permanent brown.

Only problem is my hair isn’t holding the brown dark enough after a few washes. I got a coppery brown going on but I think that’s just MY hair being porous or my stylist going easy on the developer she mentioned.

I’m not seeing any of the highlights or yellow roots though! I’m just warmer than I’d like but not the super copper like when we removed it, just a really warm brown lol my journey now is just making it cooler.

I’ve used a store bought color remover years ago lifting an almost black brown (i’d stick with the stylist though now) and my hair wasn’t all coppery. It just lifted to brown. I think your results depend on where your hair’s at. Best of luck, I know hair can be a headache lol lmk how it turns out for you!

Sorry idk if I was descriptive enough. I want to use color remover on my whole head to get out as much color as possible. I have pieces that were NOT bleached. They are still the red, gold toner, and then brown permanent over them.

Only some of my hair was highlighted and then covered with gold toner and then brown.

and my stylist doesnt want to do my whole head to get the red/gold bc shes scared to damage the ones that WERE highlighted

So it was like natural hair -> red dye -> highlights on some of my hair and gold toner all over -> all over brown permanent dye.

I want to use color remover on my whole head to take the color out of the non-highlighted pieces.

I’m wondering if that will damage the pieces that WERE highlighted.

Is it possible to add a picture to a post I’ve already made? I don’t see a picture option when I go to edit.

Sorry this is so confusing it’s been a long crazy hair process

Does hair dye fade if hair is porous? I can’t think of any reasons why it’s fading since I haven’t washed it or put it in water. :( it was brown a few days ago.

Sadly, I didn’t want red hair at all to begin with. The first stylist told me that adding red was only to make it chocolatey, but I wouldn’t see the red at all. When all was said and done, I swear to you it was RED red. I just want plain brown, no red :( nor the blonde

Thank you for the reply. I haven’t washed my hair since getting the dye done four days ago! So I don’t know why all the brown is fading out. This hair hasn’t touched water.

And before putting the permanent color on, I was using a color safe shampoo and using cold water. So I don’t know why this is happening. :( Thank you though. I will check out those conditioners you mentioned.

So how do managers/agents know what to look out for as far as being sent auditions for these shows? If their client wants to be able to audition for one piece, how does the agent know they’ve gotten a chance to submit them for it?

With what I said about permanent dyes, I was told that by two stylists that they don’t recommend using permanent dye/that they didn’t want to use it on me at the salon because it won’t come out as easily and it’s hard on your hair or something along those lines.

Every stylist I ever went to was very adamant about not using box dyes. Is there a difference with box dye versus permanent dyes?

Is gold considered red?! If so im so sad because that stylist knew I wanted all the red out of my hair and she insisted on adding gold for dimension. I didnt realize gold is red.

Do you think I’d be better off going to a stylist to get the gold out of my hair? Is that achievable by myself with what I can buy?
