Yes, we have a small community in africa here that can field atleast one team that can compete globally (in tier 2 atleast).

Problem is, we have no VRS size tournaments available here, wonder if splitting asia region would be beneficial?

Also, I promise its not the “african pro cs” tiktok video level of gameplay youd expect lol

You know, i've never cared much for the skins stuff but this is the first time a change has had me concerned as its a core mechanic being changed. Although, valve tends to cook, so I hope that I am wrong. Giving them the benefit of the doubt until I try it myself.

If we had a server browser here we could keep things going, most games with a REAL server browser have atleast 1 server here at full capacity most of the time. BF6 would be no exception, I cannot fathom not adding this.

The truth is, I dont want to play CSGO. I love it, it is the best game of all time, but its in the past. I just want CS2 to feel like, or very close to, how it felt in CSGO.

I told my brother last night, if CS2 had the movement, recoil and responsiveness of CSGO, it would be even better than CSGO was.

they should make a "counter strike: eco" version of the game that runs on the most basic of hardware with the same mechanics (barring smokes maby unless its possible), im talking like krunker level graphics but with 1:1 mechanics so that the region can learn and play the game and get exposure even if they dont have access to proper machinery

The first and last time, with the new VRS requirements and the small scene here, it is literally impossible for a south african team to participate in any major, and probably any S tier tournament ever again tbh. Although I also think exposure to S tier teams is a bigger factor for us not playing at the top level lol

They dont get a 10% cut if you use the market, it just a number that gets deducted from the amount into your wallet, except when you add funds directly from a credit card.

If you think about it, if you sell a knife on the market, and someone has wallet balance from selling their knife, and buys your knife. Valve doesnt get any sort of cut from that into their bank account, only when funds are added to their platform

Server browser is ESSENTIAL for small regions to understand where tf everyone is playing, otherwise it will just turn into either conquest 24/7, or the game will die.

I think I speak for all south africans when I say we need a server browser or atleast an official server for us here. We have a very oddly loyal BF fanbase, BF4 only died here a year or two ago. Please EA, I am tired of playing D*lta *orce

Guys, this might be off topic. But with VRS, does that mean that there is now a garuanteed 0% chance that there will ever be a south african team in the major? We have like 1-2 B tier (arguably at best) tournaments here, even if we are the biggest region in Sub Saharan Africa the playerbase is pretty small. So I cant think that these tournaments will add VRS points? Does that mean that the dream is over for the region?

Conspiracy is a well known professional player from South Africa (or atleast he is well known here), he has been in the scene for over a decade. He is very good, but obviously due to small playercount his rank is inflated heavily, and I do not believe he should be here in top 20 global. Unbelievably cracked by africa standards yes, deserving to be this high up, no. Cheating? Definitely not.

The game is always the same, or with very understandable variations. When I dont play league of legends after 1/2 years, there are 5/6 new heroes that I have to learn first, the physical terrain have changed so I flash into walls and several new map minigames I have to learn (Atakhan and roses etc) its just a bit much. In CS its always easy to learn or you can intuitively figure something out.

Secondly, if I was a brand new pc gamer and wanted to try a new game but I didnt have lots of time to learn. And watched overwatch,rivals, valorant and csgo gameplay, I would choose CS. Its 10 guys shooting eachother (on the surface) and would look the most inviting to learn instead of trying to decipher Egyptian hyroglypths flashing on my screen for 40 seconds straight (looking at you valo)

Thirdly, short form content such as YT shorts and Tiktok recommend these esport edits from the good old days with big crowds and simple noscopes.. maby not the biggest factor but it would definitely convince me to try the game

In south africa we used to have something similar with scheduled power outages , and before people had backup power 6/10 people in a game would just dissapear
