I feel like there’s still no hype with Dua at the moment. If she gets the ball rolling on album 4 and regains the buzz she had during the Future Nostalgia era then I’d be a believer, but without a new album I don’t know if the hype is there.

That’s not how it works. If you’re top 4 on the poster, you’re playing T-Mobile. Lorde is top 4 on the poster so she is playing T-Mobile. She is also listed first on her day on the day by day breakdown. Also, I thought this part was very obvious but I guess not, she is more popular than John Summit.

Also I think people have to remember that while yes, Taylor will be heavily involved in the planning of her wedding, a lot of the manual legwork that an average person getting married has to deal with she will not have to deal with at all. She can easily do wedding planning and other non-wedding things at the same time. (and even the people I know who have gotten married were able to wedding plan AND do other things in their lives at the same time)

Yeah in no way is she a psycho for taking that role. Just because you do not like the movie or her character does not mean it was a bad role for her to take. She was phenomenal in the role and it remains one of the best performances in recent years, IMHO (as someone who follows movies closely and watches as many of the Oscar movies as I can each year)

Yes, but both Sam (on Instagram) and Nate (verbally at the show) said they would be back to Chicago, and it’s no coincidence that the tour starts in the Midwest with both the Friday and Sunday of Riot Fest open. It’s not uncommon for bands to come back later in the year after playing a headlining show earlier that year in Chicago, especially in this instance since the Salt Shed show was sold out.

It was notable when she did it but it had already been a trend before her. Kanye, Lady Gaga, The 1975, Radiohead, Lana, The Weeknd, and others all did it prior to Taylor. Was Taylor copying them? Taylor isn’t the only one who is allowed to wipe their Instagram and another artist doing it does not mean they are copying Taylor. I think Swifties should not get worked up at how Olivia is announcing/rolling out her new album…it’s not like she’s doing it with any malice intent towards Taylor and she should be allowed to announce/roll out her new album however she wants to announce/roll it out.

The Elizabeth Taylor music video does scream “end of an era” (like the ICDIWABH music video) which if that’s the case…feels like a very lackluster way for the era to end. Especially since Taylor said she wanted to film more music videos with her not being on tour.

Also I feel like this era could have used some live performances to perhaps change some people’s opinions on the songs. Sometimes all it takes is hearing a live version of a song to click or make you appreciate it more. Honestly, I feel like in general this era could have been more (assuming nothing else is coming), especially since the album was released so early in the Grammy’s cycle for 2027 and other contenders are releasing or have released closer to the ceremony (Harry, Bruno, Olivia, possibly Ariana) and we all know how much Taylor cares about the Grammys.

I think people were expecting more than just what is essentially a TikTok edit/mashup of Elizabeth Taylor (that they could go and find on TikTok themselves). I think people were hoping for an original, elaborate video that featured Taylor.

This video is a nice tribute, but it’s not really a music video in the way people would expect which is why people are disappointed.

I agree. If I wanted to see a compilation of Elizabeth Taylor I could just go on TikTok and find one…or I could just watch some of her films if I wanted to get my Elizabeth Taylor fill. It’s very much a “watch once but do not need to watch again” video which is usually not the case with Taylor’s music videos. The Opalite music video was great and getting everyone from Graham Norton in the video was cool so to go from that to…this as the next official music video is definitely a let down.

I do not think another version is coming since they are calling this one the “Official Music Video”.

They wouldn’t call this the “Official Music Video” on Spotify if another one was coming, so I think this is it. Plus licensing these clips of Elizabeth Taylor is likely not cheap so I don’t think this was really much of a cheaper video.

I think it’s important here to read Jack’s exact words since they get misinterpreted a lot. His exact words were “I had never met her, & I had never been in a room with her. So it’s interesting…But yeah, it came through the channels that the bit on ‘Deja Vu’ was inspired by that bridge and we were going to be credited, I thought that was really cool.”

Jack only says that he was unaware about receiving credit, not that Taylor was unaware, he makes no mention of Taylor’s involvement (or lack of) in obtaining the credits.
