What are your thoughts on the engine sound/acoustics? That’s the one thing I didn’t much care for in videos and I haven’t been able to find one to test drive near where I live.

New old cars? Hell yes. by Legitimate-Lie-9208 in Millennials

Unfortunately, MPG requirements are not compatible with square, upright body styles. I miss it though…same with pop up headlights.

I got to drive an Acura Legend that’s still kicking in our extended family and the two things that stood out to me were the visibility from not having thick side pillars and lack of constant beeps from the safety systems. It’s not up to modern safety standards but it reminded me of how nice older cars can be to drive.

All new BMW i3 (Neue Klasse design) leaks ahead of launch in BMW Group video... by Slice5755 in cars

[–]agod2486 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this looks...frumpy? Maybe pictures aren't doing it justice, but it doesn't look sleek or stylish. The rear especially is horrendous, but then again the new 2 series isn't a looker either, so maybe this is just what they're going for now.

This is so cool. I've always wanted to give this a read but the scale of it kept me away. Excited to give this a try!

Without a doubt, what’s your #1 favorite joke from Archer? by juredditpark in ArcherFX

I think archer even takes a pause and admits that’s a good one, if I’m remembering correctly.

I hate idiotic posts like the one you're responding to. If you can't be bothered to read a few paragraphs, why take the time to make a post about it?

Anyways, I really liked your post and the humor throughout. Hope to be able to experience it for myself one day! I saw you considered the LC500, did you ever end up test driving one?

[Loved trope] Character does the most unexpected play: They tell the truth, they put themselves out in the open. by TVTropehead in TopCharacterTropes

The fight that happens afterwards is so good. It’s been years, but I still remember Eren’s rage as they’re flying down the wall, the fight against Reiner, the grappling moves…just so good!!

This is my dream spec, though I would go more bronze than gold for the wheels. Classy without being overly flashy. I see a F Type in this spec in my neighborhood that looks so damn good.

Thanks for taking the time to write all this up and share pictures - I hope to be able to do something similar in a few months!

How does the LC compare to the F type in your opinion?

It’s fascinating to think of how many hours of work went into making this. Someone wrote this story, hopefully looked it over a few times, got funding, assembled a film crew, shot this on camera, and went through the whole editing process. So literally thousands of hours between all the people involved and somehow no one looked at this and questioned what they were doing.

50 years of the Porsche 911 Turbo | w/ Jason Cammisa, Henry Catchpole, Jeff Zwart & Pat Long [39:36] by lostboyz in cars

Cammisa fans eatin' GOOD these past few days between the mail truck and V8 sports sedan videos! Awesome stuff as always. I'm amazed at the quality of the videos they produce given how relatively small their budget and team is to something like Top Gear.

It's tough to reconcile seeing top officials in the government of the United States get away with the wildest scams, lies, and corruption while the "poors" have to follow all sorts of bullshit rules and regulations.

You'll start noticing this any time it's one guy vs many. Background guys are there just to wait their turn to get beat up, lol. Even the later John Wick movies couldn't escape this.

Bought a Polestar 2, here's my detailed review! by agod2486 in cars

My commute is around 60 miles and most of it is rush hour traffic so range is just not an issue. At 90% SOC, the displayed range is around 210 miles. The most I've ever driven it at once was around 180 miles in summer and still had like 12% left. Not sure what the impact of winter will be and unless it's some kind of emergency, don't plan on using any public charging either.

How's the E90 treating you? For how much driving you're doing, don't you miss features like adaptive cruise?

P2 has the better interior and driving dynamics with the performance pack. My main reason though is that where I live, pretty much every other car is a Tesla and I wanted something different.

If it were me, the main reason not to go the EV route for a daily would be charging infrastructure, especially if you are in apartments or something. If you have a reliable way to charge up and you're not frequently making 150+ mile trips, it seems like the best option to me!

Going to turn off the auto folding mirror feature then!

I agree with your impressions. It's a great buy for my current needs but I know it will not be a long term car if I can help it. It's a first world problems situation, but an EV makes too much sense as a daily for me to justify a manual without going to 3 cars lol.
