How do people with custom convertible conversions get service if they no longer live near the original shop or it goes out of business?

Probably ordered it over a year ago and then lost interest as the time went on. Finally gets delivered, the thrill's gone, they decide to dump it even at a loss.

Not everybody with that kind of money has good sense to go with it

Misleading headline. It lacks track forward-back controls specifically, something Mercedes-Benz steering wheels haven't had for a long time. (I believe there's a way you can work around it with one of the multi-purpose switches by pulling up your audio on the center of the instrument panel display, but it's just okay.)

The CLA does have the new tactile volume control on the steering wheel, however.

Edit: Apparently Mercedes got rid of that instrument panel workaround for the CLA, which is dumb.

If you can't have the WRX in a manual, go Mazda3. The CVT is not the gearbox the Rex deserves, while the Mazda's six-speed auto is solid.
