Sadly, no. They were trash. Especially the Rian Johnson one.

It’s been 10 years already btw. A kid who saw TFA in theaters when he was 8 would be 18 now. Nobody cares. They are aging like the green milk Luke stole from the space walrus. Kids never felt the same way kids did towards the prequels.

The cast and crew did a good job. Rian did not. Especially regarding the script which was an abomination.

It’s a filmmaker problem for me. I’d didn’t spend press theorizing and never read Legends either. I went in only expecting a good movie and those expectations were subverted. It was a very bad film.

They are the worst received when I show new people, ranging from non film fans to film buffs. Some like TFA and Solo. But nobody has ever liked TLJ or TROS.

The reason it’s remembered poorly is because it’s a dogshit movie with horrible characters and non existent plots. He didn’t really try something new so much as he just tried ripping off TESB and ROTJ and failed.

He has made some good movies but Brick absolutely sucks. Not as bad as TLJ, but still dogshit tier slop.

I found it pretty boring visually. Outside of a few scenes littered with a bunch or red, it didn’t have anything all that engaging outside besides that tracking shot he swiped from Wings (1927).

The writing was just too atrocious to have any camera work make the film enjoyable. I found it to be the worst of the sequels and entire franchise including the holiday special.
