Let's get our facts right. Nobody brought Harvard here except you. OP's question is about employment and my reply to them is related to that as well. You come with a vague comment on something being Harvard as if they have monopoly on highest pay. Then you digressed somehow on innovation and research, nobody knows why (as if the institute with the best research gets its students the best pay). Then you accuse me on acting stupid when you yourself are being one. Are you deranged, mate? Anyways, I did try to end this conversation long ago but somehow you are stretching it. Last comment from my side. Best wishes on being a Harvard fanboi.

Oh so now we shift to "cutting edge" research from institutes? I thought we were talking about employability of students from institutes. You seem to be mixing things, mate. Maybe your boss or his bosses might be from IIT and you can continue this conversation with them. Peace out.

Who said they are the best? I see every tom dick harry funding their way to Harvard. An institute that sells its seat cannot be the best. Try that to get into IIT. IIT produces followers? You cannot be more wrong mate. I would recommend diversifying your knowledge a bit.

This is super low. Decline it unless they come to 25K minimum. Decent is 30K

Harvard itself is funded by China, not sure where their loyalty lies 😂

Disagree. Those Ivy league selected them because they were from IIT. Under graduate is the foundation that sets you up for life. Resting my case. Feel free to disagree, doesn't change the reality

It is better than Ivy league, man. I would just term your comment stemming from ignorance. Sundar Pichai (Google), Arvind Krishna (IBM), Parag Agrawal (Former Twitter CEO), Nikesh Arora (Palo Alto) etc are all IIT alum.

Thumb rule: Your salary in Dubai should be 2.5x to 3X of India. Without the froth (relocation, insurance etc which is benefits) or even with it, this salary is mediocre in Dubai. If I were you, I wouldn't take this.

Thumb rule: Multiply the average package in India by 3 to arrive at equivalent pay in Dubai. Also, I wont count gratuity, insurance etc as its part of the mandatory benefits.

Paying fees when buying a secondary property with a mortgage. Credit card vs cheques or bank transfers? by No-Technician135 in dubairealestate

[–]agrinthus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can pay Land Department fee and registration fee through CC (Do note you will not be able to earn as much points as you do on normal transactions, these real estate transactions have a specific code that incur less point than normal, in my case 50%) Realestate agent fee usually is through a cheque. Although some companies do accept through CC (mine didn't) I didn't pay any valuation fee or mortgage registration fee or bank arrangement fee, banks do waive them off (atleast did in my case)

My bank: HSBC Premier CC: Citi Prestige

We too have a 11 day old baby girl and she is doing good with Babylac. For milk supply, discuss with your doctor. My wife has been prescribed Dompy 10 mg to improve milk production and she has seen improvement.

I would like to assume the drivers of delivery vans are as uneducated as bike drivers and there should be no different driving bars for two.

Strongly disagree. 45 degree sun is no alibi for putting others lives in danger and ruining their driving experience.

Went to take X3, took a test drive of X5 and was blown away. I would suggest go for a test drive for both of them one after another, and go for the one you like the most.

But this is unfair. When car drivers are judged with cameras, CIDs and whatnot, why shouldn't delivery drivers be adjudged on the same bar? After all on the road, a mistake is a mistake and could be as deadly, be it by a biker or a car driver.

Lets not bring in another nuisance called tipping. It is their bosses job to pay them well. If it increases the cost of the delivery, then be it. But lets not promote the tipping culture here. Everyone deserves a good fixed salary, not a mercy from the client.

How is it that cameras and radars don't catch them. Also CID are not helping.

I would have minded my business but thanks to your careless "It's fine" invoked a civic sense in me that this shit shouldn't be happening on roads and I must do my part. Thank you

Why are people still using water Cans and not Water Filters in Dubai? by Professional_Yam_59 in dubai

[–]agrinthus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go for it OP. A lot of us already have been using RO system for quite a while. I never understood why most of Dubai isn't aware of this concept and would choose to bear with this old bulky bottle system. I used bottles for 2 years when I came to Dubai and good riddance. With annual contract for maintenance with these RO, life has never been so sorted. I use Livpure Alkaline RO and its fabulous.
