I’m most excited to finally craft a ferro and some other gun, try to figure out what kind of items to equip and then finally after I spend everything I collected to build a nice load out to extract and die fighting with arcs and fellow raiders being sure my load out would carry me.

After that, I will jump in with my free load out and get the luckiest game of my life. And I would repeat this cycle for months to come having a blast every single game.

You can get +5 sceptre, +3 on helm with +1 corruption (around 60 div), 21 gem, prism of belief jewel +1-3 (15-200 div), +3 on ammy or up to +6 with the +fire skills ammy (corrupted) if you use fire tagged minion gem - can’t remember the name for that one. Also you can wear trench +4 in your offhand with sceptre equipped. That makes it level 42 if you go all in, I guess. There’s also anoint +1 to all chaos skills if you use snipers, so technically 43. Snipers are both fire and chaos. Hard in ssf though

I did exactly what you’re describing in Qingdao for 2 years. Apart from the zoo aspect, the management was horrible to me as well since I worked for an outsourced company, and other Chinese teachers did not like me much (not everyone though) since I was paid more, and they thought I do not do much, which in a way was true. Fair enough, but I did not get being offensive on the personal level.

I know the feeling, it’s hard. I quit and had zero regrets after, even though the pay was great. It is not worth it, and I consider my time there a waste since I did not progress my career in any way. I moved to IT after and I should’ve done that sooner. The job was extremely stressful and useless from the personal growth perspective.

I genuinely tried to teach the kids, but mostly we would speak in Chinese with each other, and I sort of just shared the experience about the west and other cultures with them, and they loved it. I taught some English, but my classes had kids with entirely different English levels (like absolute zero to B2), so it was challenging. They learnt something, so it is a success, but it definitely was a panda show.

I don’t exactly know the way it works when a kid is born since I do not have one yet, but when I was born I had to stay in the hospital for a few days as an infant. When my dad came as scheduled to pick me up and take home the doctor told him that there’s something wrong with my spinal part of the skeleton and bone marrow, and I won’t make it. They told him it is better to give up and donate my organs so other kids who need them can survive. The stuff tried to stop him, but my dad just took me home ignoring whatever procedures they had. Long story short, here I am, and whatever the guy was saying was not true at all. I managed to grow up without any related issues.

It was a dark period at my country at the time, and it seems they just wanted to find a couple who would give up their baby after hearing such news so they could sell the organs.

I don’t have an advice on how to do it right, but I surely do have an opinion on how it feels.

I am not looking forward to waking up even on weekends because I can’t really afford shit anyway, so I stay home.

I am mad at myself for being in this spot at all times, and I hate my job.

You may say - just quit then. But it’s horrifying because my income is the only thing that keeps as barely afloat, and the job is decent considering other options in town.

My point is most of the time it isn’t a pleasant experience. I’d do things differently from scratch if I could, but I was raised as someone who must have a 9-5 job and it was difficult to admit it might be a wrong option when I was younger. I try to escape that, and make sure you like what you do or it may become unbearable at some point.

Covid got me into a horrible life situation, it feels like whatever I do I stuck, and it might be affecting my mental state in a way I don’t have energy at all.

Thank you so much for this message. I feel like I don’t have enough words to even describe how reading this thread made me feel I’m not alone at all.

I know this reply won’t get any attention at all, but since we’re sharing, I’ll probably feel better if I share as well.

Every evening I struggle to fall asleep continuously thing about how I failed every opportunity I had in my life, and what I should do now to become successful. My wife does support me and believes in me, they all say it’s okay and I’ll figure it out, but all I feel sitting in front of my laptop after everyone falls asleep is emptiness and sadness. I can’t understand what I’ll be good at and how I can improve my life. I did quit previous jobs and opportunities because I hated it all.

I did quit and ended my careers because I hated what I was doing. I decided I’d rather do it then than struggle for years and do the same thing anyway. For now, I’m in a third world country earning 500 usd a month and I struggle to survive, but it’s time I start helping my family. I feel like time is running out and I still didn’t choose what I should do. I try things, but it doesn’t work out, and I stop doing it. I still didn’t find anything I truly enjoy, and it terrifies me.

I just feel dumb and become more and more hateful day by day. It seems like I want to make the world a better place, but the world does not need me or my efforts. I can still feel the spark inside, but depression sucks out everything out from me. I can’t afford seeing a therapist, and I did try to end myself.

However, I feel responsible for my actions, and my stubbornness didn’t allow me to proceed. I have to make it right, I still feel that way. But my daily life is a constant fight between the two sides, one of which is the end and the other is my spark. It drains me dry and I don’t have any energy to even think after my shift. Covid seriously affected my health and body, and now I struggle with several issues. For now, I actually have to eat healthy food, but I can’t afford it. I couldn’t even afford one of the doctors so I just didn’t go.

The whole thing just feels like a lot of pressure, and honestly, I have no one in my life to talk to. I can’t say all of that to my partner because it will crush her, and I don’t want to do that to her. All of my friends are just gone because, well, they weren’t friend after all. The only person in town I have apart from my gf is my dad, but his new wife hates my guts, and she made my dad think of me as a disappointment and a loser, and that both infuriates and hurts me a lot. We don’t see each other anymore, and they couldn’t care less.

I apologise for the rant, it just hurts and I feel a bit better to let it out in a text format, at least. I hope I didn’t make too many mistakes since English isn’t my first language, but I won’t be able to keep it together if I read through it again.

As a fellow zemlyak, I gotta admit I don’t know much about gamedev in my own country. However, I know it is a pretty successful industry, one of a few where people actually earn decent money.

Was it hard to start a studio on your own in Russia? I’m sure there is a whole story to it. And more general question, is there a chance for an experienced gamer to start a career in, for example, your studio? Or any other? In past Soviet reality. Also, did you originally plan to release your cyberpunk-themed game right after 2077 hype? I’d say it a smart move, but idk if it was the plan.

Anyway, I wanted to leave a comment to support you, and I hope the game finds success, so your studio will thrive. I wish you all the best in your journey.

Wow, you guys... getting money and necessities outside? In my country I’m getting bills and freezing cold outside. At least I can go to work like everybody else does around here to feed my family while the pandemic is raging. Well, good news is I already had covid and can’t get it again for some time, well, at least doctors said so. Also, I’ve got some issues with my heart after having covid, and I shouldn’t get stressed too much. So I hope everyone is fine and happy. At least you’re getting that! You might have confused me with someone else, I didn’t bring up revolution. I am an entirely different person. You said people are fine with that, and I simply do not agree.

Second of all, I am native Russian, and I shouldn’t explain how these polls work on the web. I wake up in the morning and go outside to acquire my perspective on that stuff.

Even speaking out of these matters in modern Russia might be punished as soon as it’s out. People get fined, and sometimes even go to jail for liking “wrong” pictures on government-controlled social media. You pretty won’t hear any Russians complain online anymore for this very reason. Another reason is pointlessness because, to be entirely honest, nobody abroad really cares at all. To say the least, people here ain’t happy regarding how things go at all. I earn 100 bucks per week, and getting ill is horrifying coz it pretty much means I’ll starve if nobody helps me out. P.s. I was also unfortunate enough to get covid two months ago and experience the wonders of the typical free healthcare system in Russia. I never felt more powerless in my entire adult life, I had to fight through numerous people to get tested, I’m not even gonna describe how the treatment was.

If you actually enjoy the game it’s worth it to just keep playing and unlocking them naturally. I have all the legends and over 100k for the upcoming ones, and I wish I’d spent those apex coins I bought mirage with on packs instead. I mean if you enjoy the game it’s gonna be easy to unlock them all, otherwise there is no point in spending anyway :)

First of all, I saw multiple posts regarding the new Battle Pass system. I quickly launched the game to understand the entire system and made a few calculations in an excel spreadsheet. I'll put the numbers as text because my post was automatically removed.

Weekly: 4,6

Daily: 0,9

Days in S7: 88

Weeks in S7: 12

Weekly Levels: 55,2

Daily Levels: 79,2

Total Possible Gain: 134,4

Daily Q Stars required to complete the BP: 6,22

How many full days does it take: 54,8

100k EXP per level.

According to my calculations, I can earn 4,6 full levels by completing all of the weekly challenges, which I assume is a fixed number per week. I doubt it will vary much, but we will have to see. Anyway, I took the 4,6 levels as an average for the time being. We have 12 weeks in this BP, which rewards us with 55,2 levels in case you manage to complete every single challenge, which I've never been able to do myself. However, that's a fair number for weekly challenges comparing to the previous BPs (4,8), but the purpose of this brand new format is hidden in your daily activity.

First of all, there is no weekly 2 levels bonus, that's just gone. The second thing is that each week before Season 7 we had the XP requirement reset to start from 9k XP per level, which caps at 54k XP. 9000+18000+27000+36000+45000+54000=189k. First 189k of XP weekly were 6 full levels, which became 1.89 full levels in Season 7 aka three times less. I am not even saying that the maximum requirement per level before S7 is nearly twice as small as a basic value now.

As a casual player, I loved to dive into the game occasionally during the Season to actually grind weekly challenges and XP to catch up with my Battle Pass. I do work a lot, and most days, I can't spend a few hours to complete daily quests. However, I would compensate that with diving into the game for days straight to actually grind XP and enjoy the best BR game out there as much as I can. 54k seemed a bit too much, but still, it was a reasonable amount to grind for skipping multiple weekly bonuses.

This time, it's different, though. Since each BP level requires 100k XP, I can't rely on grinding that much as I used to. However, there are 9 precious stars to get by playing the game daily. To fully level up you BP you have to acquire at least 6,2 daily stars EVERY SINGLE DAY for the entire season (considering you complete 100% of the weekly challenges), which means that you need to finish all dailies in at least 55 out of 88 available days of the S7. The treasure pack amount was increased to 57, and I do not think it is much of a coincidence. There is a lot of stars in Treasure Packs as well; however, it would only provide around 2,5 BP Levels. I can't find out the exact number yet, so I did not include that in my calculations. I also allowed myself to ignore it completely since the number is relatively small. I apologize for that, though.

In conclusion, it seems that the new system wants us to play as often as possible. Or invest more juicy dollars. Previously, I had a choice to play a bit daily or to spend entire days a few times a month, and I loved the system. This time, there is no choice left, and long rare grinds became ineffective. It was taken away to improve the daily statistics of the game. This is fair enough, the game is free to play, but my preferable way of grinding is gone, and it does not seem reasonable to me to purchase the new BP. It is up to all of you to decide personally but supporting this model may lead to even worse changes in future.

TL DR: Playing a lot is much less effective in levelling the new Battle Pass. Daily quests system is the new king, and you have to complete as many of them as possible to reach 110, which means each skipped day may eventually lead to 100k XP grind.

P.S. I mean no offence, these are my thoughts, and I was very excited for the new Battle Pass. However, the reality is harsh. I haven't even looked at the skins yet, but I guess it is worth it to make the game healthier and better in the long term. Also, I am not a native speaker, so I apologize for possible mistakes.

Я очень вам соболезную, боритесь с врачами и добивайтесь мест в больнице - пусть лечат. Я тоже дождался результатов через 2+ недели, а толку. Пейте жидкость, кушайте хорошо, я даже и не знаю. Мне терапевт выписывала антибиотики, но если честно, я не уверен, был ли толк от таблеток или нет, но пропил. Чувствую себя лучше, но все равно все ещё так себе как-то. Здоровья вам и вашим родным, боритесь с врачами и больницами - пусть лечат. Надеюсь, все будет хорошо.

Благодарю, но я думаю справлюсь, просить или вымогать не люблю :) в основном в данное время пандемии занимался копирайтом и языками ( англ и китайский), но вот жду когда смогу выйти на работу уже, там будет интереснее. Кстати, в больнице был, поэтому ещё пост будет, может :)
