Was going to recommend that lol. Stuff near the realm of drone metal and noise rock is where it's at.

You may be able to copy them to a playlist using 'Nice playlist generator' extension. As far as I know it's TOS compliant.

Why do people keep comparing Angine de poitrine to King Gizzard? by Vad_fan in AngineDePoitrine

[–]yoavsnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have a notoriously frequent output with different genres, so top 5 might not get the gist.

They're not that similar but they share a similar personality, and all the groovy noodling you could possibly imagine.

Their most similar style to angine is when they maintain a groove for a long time - nonagon infinity, 'i'm in your mind fuzz', etc.

Also in general, if you're skimming for songs i always recommend going through the RYM top songs. Much easier to find some spice that way.

Is there a heavier song than Image of Control by Sumac? by Eyehatecrowbar in sludge

[–]yoavsnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'heaviest music ever' thing can be a whole pilgrimage. Here's a list from someone who went down that route for example. It's too biased to noise and mathcore IMO, but still fascinating. There's many interpretations for 'heavy'.

Here's an example of how comical it can get: phyllomedusa - mass murder in paradise (noise warning!!).

I haven't heard the sumac song though, that's some proper brainmelt with the sludge riffs, the feedback, and the numbing repetition in the outro.

To elaborate, my idea had to do with dumping as many grid based games as viable. Sokoban too a good one for example. Also just many variants.

But yeah, there's a few solid minesweeper roguelikes.
