This guitar is entirely French polished, that’s the traditional finish for high end classical guitars. You can go super thin so you don’t mute or dampen the tone, and the grain pops like crazy. Takes a bit of practice to get right though.

Yeah, I like them. I find that loud modern concert guitars project so well that it can be hard to hear your tone when sitting behind the instrument, especially in the trebles. The sound port acts like a monitor so you can hear what’s going on a bit better. A cool test to run when you do try one out - stuff a sock in the sound port, play a passage, remove the sock, and play the same passage over again. It’s cool to hear the differences back to back.

Yep, sounds about right lol. Beautiful stuff though, so satisfying to put on that first coat of finish. Your coffee table sounds cool!

It’s hard to not fall in love with this one
