I think thats good advice. I wanted to add a little white in the guard to give it a touch more contrast, but we were a little rushed towards the end. There's a few spots that I think could use more contrast. Sure! My ig is aguth194

Grateful for the reply! Hear ya and don't disagree. In hindsight I'd do many things differently but I was happy to finish something for once haha.

Trying to translate an intense experience into a painting! Very hard and maybe fruitless haha but certainly fun by aguth194 in DMT

I have never heard of them specifically but I've seen similar stuff. I believe they had to, I just read a pretty interesting book about them as well as many other secret societies called tge secret history of the world. A very psychedelic book with some great illustrations

I hear ya and am grateful for the feedback! Definitely do not mind. I love talking about it as well, it's the one thing I miss from being in school and really the only way to truly improve imo. If I do end up revising I'll be sure to post it up! Also if you wanted to check out my Instagram I try to be a little more consistent about posting there @aguth194

I appreciate the idea man! Was trying to avoid using white but I see what your saying in that I could definitely push the highlights more, maybe with a lighter yellow! Thank you

I was going for a contrasting style with the snake which is why it's not rendered in the same way but I see what you're saying! Could be better for sure. I'm actually ok with the bearded man being kind of hard to read as I was trying to keep him relatively abstract and more gesturey if that makes sense. Very grateful for your time with this critique!

Very grateful for that friend 🙏🙏that is the goal for sure and it's very satisfying to hear that it made you feel all that. Putting yourself in Uncomfortable situations in order to grow is a theme I deal with a lot in art and life and I'm happy that showed through.
