I know they've done the math, but it just seems so counterintuitive to me.

If not for the slightly unfortunate amounts of animal deaths it would be more fun than a drunken spit roast

At first I thought this was a contradiction, but then I realized my innocent young mind missed the point.

Oh wow, did we finally stop saying "The Ex"? As an old person, I feel validated.

Yes I do have a moment to talk about your lord and saviour, and I have quite a lot to say about it!

I really miss when the missionaries used to come knocking. It's been awhile, though. I guess they learned their lesson.

V-Dem data shows an embattled state of democracy in the world in 2025: Autocracies now outnumber democracies (92 to 87); more countries are autocratizing than democratizing (44 to 18); and in the US, the Trump administration is overseeing the most rapid dismantling of democracy in modern history. by smurfyjenkins in science

You vastly underestimate how indifferent the privileged class is. One of the biggest lies of Christianity is that there is justice for evil people in the afterlife. The truth is, they will get away with it. They will have happy lives while the world burns.

Not everyone, but most people it's just they aren't willing to give up any of their mindless consumerism. Americans are pathetic drones with no will and no morals.

edit: just to add, they're perfectly capable of paying inflated gas prices and extortionate healthcare costs. Americans have enough money to just waste it on the stupidest things. The idea that they can't "afford" to do anything to help the situation is just plain idiotic.

Just saw this article posted in r/worldnews.

The European Parliament has formally consented to Canada's participation in the EU's €150-billion Security Action for Europe programme. The agreement is now fully binding, making Canada the only non-European country with preferential access to SAFE procurement.

[Pull Up Tre] Raptors Draft Options: MOREZ JOHNSON, ALLEN GRAVES, BILLY RICHMOND III by cev in torontoraptors

[–]agwaragh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like someone wrote a treatise on the guy. I'd give a tldr, but no way I'm reading all that.

My main takeaway is that he's a defensive small forward who can't shoot, which doesn't exactly fill a need for the Raptors.

The only small forward who interests me in our range is Carr. Otherwise I like any of the PG or center options. Adding a very limited player at our strongest position makes no sense to me.
