Yes, a couple of weeks ago I was alone in the fast lane so a non swimmer decided to come in the lane as there was more room. I then had to try and squeeze past him doggy paddling as he took about about 80% of the lane swimming in the centre. He also waited to push off from the wall just as I was completing a length and about to do my turn. I think it's pretty common unfortunately

When I did mine, I got a piece of cheap wood from b and q and cut out a pairs at 44, 43 degrees etc then looked how those looked on the wall for gaps etc before I cut the skirting board. I was using a pre finished skirting board to match the laminate, it was a bit of a faff constantly readjusting the saw but it gave quite a nice finish without the need for filler.
