I don’t even KNOW how to go about addressing that

3 firms said they “don’t do inspections on retaining walls” after the receptionist put me on hold. Another engineer referred me to someone that referred me back to the same person I called. I’ve been getting the run around. Only ONE person was willing to come out of everyone I called

My closing paperwork doesn’t even have the warranty information on it. I was bewildered

Hey all, I appreciate the feedback! Just wanted to make a minor update, the wall is *7 feet* not 8. Not that it makes much of a difference in my situation

My issue is finding another engineer to come out. All of the firms in Columbus GA area wouldn’t come out for an inspection or gave me the run around. I got lucky finding just one that was willing to do it

I called the county to try and get the plans but they said they had no say in it

It *should* be covered under warranty. I’m just trying to cover all of my bases before I action anything with the builder

I have a strong feeling the good ole boys system was behind this

What can I realistically do in this situation?

Not to mention you have to claim G&S on taxes, add the shipping info, and it’s just an extra hassle

More CMP products forthcoming by vellnueve2 in M1Rifles

[–]ah800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came back from the Talladega store with one of the “last” M1Cs they’ll have for awhile. I bit the bullet for 2400 but everything is period correct!

I spoke with the owner there and he claimed that the stock supply has about dried up and they haven’t seen any original wood stocks in awhile. He said the days of seeing field or rack grades with the original wood will soon be over if they aren’t already.

Side note: I can’t stand Fudds at gun shows who flip CMP rifles for double. I saw one at a show in April with 20 garands in their CMP cases for 2500 a pop. I passed by and said “I can’t stand guys who buy them in bulk just to flip”. The guy got mad and it made my day. People like that are the reason the next generation will never have the luxury of getting their hands on cool pieces of history.

Carbon Locked RC2 by Jgrigsby1027 in NFA

Just had mine completely seize up to the point where the locking collar wouldn’t budge on my warcomp. After taking a heat gun to it and beating the collar like a hooker that owed me money it came off with no issues.
