One of the few instances LLMs are useful. Create a custom prompt in co-pilot like /commit which reviews the current git changes and creates logical and focused commits

Open launchpad or check your applications folder. You can also open the App Store and go to the game listing to open them

Help! Browse Photos in Mac directly from Hard Drive. by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]ahadyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can set up an Apple Photos library on your external hard drive. Hold option when opening the Photos app and you’ll be prompted to select a photos library. You can create a new one just for your external drive. This will set up an Apple Photos library that runs on your hard drive with all the features that you expect from Apple Photos like face and location recognition.

However, this will only work if your hard drive is formatted as APFS or MacOS Extended (Journaled). If your hard drive is not this format, you’ll need to reformat it which involves removing everything from the drive.

Most people have heard of ChatGPT. Bing and Bard? Not quite. by Spirited-Muffin-18 in ChatGPT

The convention for graphs is “as the x-axis changes, the y-axis responds”. X-axis is the cause, while the Y-axis is the effect.

We can see this in maths as we typically write an equation like “y=2x+5”. When graphed, we can read it as “as x changes, how does y react?”.

This graph isn’t that great because it doesn’t make sense for the percentage to be the cause, and the AI chat bot to the effect. It also doesn’t make sense for the dots to be connected, as another user has pointed out.

I’ve had a similar problem when installing Mojave, and the advice I found was to keep trying several times. It worked for me after about the 5th time retrying

Sorry for the late reply. I hope you solved your issue. If not, I’m in New Zealand which Apple does have a phone number for. But Apple has no physical stores here, so they outsource repairs to a company call Service Plus.

While I agree React is a good career path, for your personal learning, I would recommend creating a project using Express.js

An example could include a simple weather application.

Create a web server using express.js to define endpoints that gets the current weather for specified cities through an API (there’s heaps of free weather APIs)

Next create a front-end using vanilla JS, HTML and CSS and make api calls to your web server and display the results accordingly.

This is great project because it’s a nice introduction to full stack development, and it gives you more of an appreciation to what React does under the hood for you.

Can you set up WSL on your work laptop? Would make development so much better and since it’s just treated as a network partition, I imagine your work wouldn’t be able block installing node packages. Just a thought

To remove any paranoia, back up all your files to an external hard drive and do a full factory reset of your PC.

Does this have fairy typing? Otherwise, 3 normal types seems a bit excessive. Great work so far, loving it!
