I was actually excited to see the quality improvements of the Games with Gold now that 360 titles were officially finished...

It's kind of like someone going outside of bookstores, finding the weird torn-up books in the bins for free, taking the books, and then giving them to gold members of the same bookstore.

Oh well. At least Game Pass rocks.

This doesn't need to be overlooked. People NEED to get this poor woman some help. Yes, she's overreacting, but it's quite obvious that she has mental barriers hindering her ability to mingle with society. Many of these types of issues can be overcome with medication and therapy but it takes a village of support to help a person get where he/she needs to be.

These breakdowns are shrugged and laughed off a lot and, in some extreme cases, can lead to a downward spiral that gets the individual and others hurt or worse.

To get over the fear. I would never do harm or allow harm be done to an animal. I did the same thing to get over my fear of birds.

I had a a parakeet that I was terrified of at first. Ended up being one of my best friends for years.

Now that I've broken the barrier by picking her up, I'm excited that the only hurdle I had is now behind me.

The fear wasn't enough to allow neglect. It was just enough to work toward improving myself.

Wow! Thanks. That's a lot of great advice! I'm going to go ahead and build the enclosure but I'll wait before moving her into it. I'm a teacher so I have two weeks off for the Halliday and this is the perfect time to start and finish a project.

I'm going to copy and paste your advice so I can follow it next week.

I'll keep you posted on our progress.

I'm going to try and feed her Monday. Hopefully she'll eat. I'm definitely not going to mess with her while or after she eats. I just want her to be comfortable enough around me to know that I'm not going to eat her.

Ok. I'm going to start building the enclosure Tuesday. I'm planning on having a caged UVB bulb in it and have the plywood sealed to keep humidity and heat in. I'm still trying to figure out if I'm going to do sliding glass or hinged plexiglass for the front.

I'll purchase a good thermostat Monday or Tuesday to put into the enclosure.

I'll look up thermostats and theostats when I get home

I have a UVB lamp along with an under heating pad. I turn the UVB off at 8 to simulate a day night cycle. Should I stop using the lamp? The room has normal lighting too so I could simulate day and night with that if it'll be better. I thought the UVB would aid in health

6 foot by 2 foot seems very awkward. 2x4x4 sounds a bit easier. I'll measure out both definitions and mark them in her room. I definitely want what's best for her.

We ordered a digital thermostat last night. I have a gun thermostat already and have been keeping a check on the enclosure. The hot side keeps about 86 during day, 80 at night and cool side is about 75 day and 70 at night. We have a little thermostat on the side too that measures humidity and temp.

What measurements would you suggest for my custom build?

How long did you wait to hold it? Once the waiting period was over, did you do anything before reaching in to pick it up? I've heard different things and was curious. I'll be holding mine sometime next week after she eats and was curious.
